The Coleus Thread

I have been thinking about starting a thread for coleus for a couple weeks now for people to share pics, have discussions on growing methods ect. After looking around a few other threads I have seen that several others here share my love for the plant and it definitely deserves it's own thread.
Other than being beautiful and very trippy looking they are super easy and fast to grow, propagate easily from cuttings and make excellent house plants. It is so fun growing them from seed and finding that special plant.
I'll start off with a few pics and I hope others share what they have. This is my first time growing them and now I'm hooked. A few seed grown plants:

Here's a couple that are being grown from cuttings I acquired

I since have taken cuttings from all my favorite seed grown plants and they are slowly taking over my greenhouse lol. I'll take more pics later and hope to see other's beautiful plants and hopefully get those who aren't growing it interested in doing so

I have a few types of coleus myself, love them. What type is the last one in the OP, the one that looks like an opal or something? That one is outrageous.

Not sure what type that one is but it is one of my favorites. It came from a cutting off a plant that came from lowes. I'm starting to notice something when rooting cuttings, it seems the color fades a bit. My thoughts are where the plant is lacking nutes until it roots. I'm guessing once they take off good the new leaf sets will gain back their full color.

Hell yeah, you can build a nice collection for free or next to nothing quickly from seed or small cuttings just put in wet soil inside or the shade, but I warn you it can get out of hand fast for these very reasons and if you are like me I can't bring myself to to kill or throw any of them away lol.
Not advocating stealing, but if you see one you like somewhere and pinch a top off it dosen't hurt the mother plant and actually makes it branch and get fuller.

I have a large hardcover book all about Coleus, it's like THE Coleus guide, it's really great.
Love Coleus though, have a couple I might post pics of at a later date.

I Love Coleus Here are a few of my seeds grown plants. They sit in individual pots way too long, and I almost lost them all. They are slowly recovering and regaining some vigor.

Very nice! The ones with the pure white in the middle are awesome. I don't have a lot of experience with coleus, but one thing I've noticed is seems like they can bounce back from most anything. Had some in small cups that barely got watered and as soon as they got some love they took off.

The leaves of my Coleus turn white for a few days as reaction to a relocation.
Means when I put the plant to another window and probably turn the pot around, the next day the leaves turn white in the middle.
But those spoken about look really nice indeed!

Yeah man,I sowed a rainbow mix seed pack back in the winter, and I got all these varieties! I left them root bound in pots for quite a while, then I decided to take action and put them in the ground. They are already looking lots better, and hopefully will get their vibrant colors back like yours
