So I’ve been out 3 times to about 4 different spots since my last post.
Started out in a oak-birch forest, i tried to look as carefully as i could but this was more of a scout if the A.muscaria are there, after 2H and 30 mins of finding nothing much, but junk, i came to the conclusion this area is too well used and littered for mushrooms to grow well, the area was unkept, with long grass almost waist length around but it had junk, beer cans, camp fires and other stuff everywhere.
My next spot was 2 forests, in the middle of nowhere Pine-birch and another Oak-birch, I smoked some weed and took some scotch and went hunting. I looked around very carefully for a while, about 3-4 hours, in the abandoned woods pretty early in the morning-afternoon, apart from some apples, from a apple tree which from afar looked like A.muscaria, I found nothing. I did find 3 homeless people sleeping in the forest, 2 asleep and 1 awake, I was tempted to ask if he’s seen any mushrooms around but it seemed like he wasn’t in a talkative mood. I found even more beer cans but due to these forests being massive, they weren’t as close as the first spot.
Third time, I found a mushrooms. After about 6 hours looking for mushrooms in 4 different spots and 3 different days, I found my first mushroom. I was growing on an oak tree, on the bark. I didn’t ID it, it wasn’t in my pocket field guide form what I could tell, but it was a majestic sight to see, after trying to find a single mushroom for so long, did show that mushrooms do grow in the area. Anyways after maybe a few more mins of searching I gave up. So I still have yet to find a single A.muscaria or A.pantherina, The weather has just not been ideal and can explain why I haven’t found any, though I went hunting, the 2nd time, after 3 good days of rain followed by 4 days of pretty hot weather (which could have been the problem,) followed by a day of cold weather and some rain, the weather conditions the days before in all hunts was not great but not horrible either. Thought its very hot in S.E England. Going to start cooling down this week but its still not great conditions for shrooms growth.
Anyways Ill be hunting again, but around mid-september, just seems like a waste of time to be hunting for anything at this time, since mushrooms growth of any species seems to be non-existent at this time/weather. Ill also be heading up to yorkshire at november and will be sure to look around the local parks/reservations for them.

I would not recommend hunting these for recreational purposes, but it's your life, do as thou wilt.

Hmmm, i found them to be a potentiator at doses of 7 grams dried toss n wash, for example, gaba drugs, alcohol, valium. tend to work better (nearly double the rate oddly enough) when combined with a properly prepared muscaria, i just don't want people to be put off as it does have uses and i've never experienced any hallucinations, it's more like a cheap alcohol buzz, i'm not sure how people are getting so much dissociative symptoms from it, for me it is a weak active akin to alcohol. the effects are even similar (energy followed by a sedated comedown) i ain't saying it's not got the potential to cause trips like that but i feel it's way weaker than people think, also 2 medium caps can be a lot of weight for one person, one or even half a cap of soma is decent
Had no idea a.muscaria could be like that at low doses. I've tried other derlients in my early days and I quickly learnt that I hate the feeling and to avoid that type of drug, so naturally I've always just overlooked amanita muscaria. I might have to give it a try in the way you use it though.
