Thailand Identification Help

Habitat:
I found this in Khao Yai National Park. It is rainy season (July) and rained the day before I found them. It was on a pile of Elephant dung.

Gills:


Stem:
The stems are dark black and about 8 to 6 inches long.

Cap:
The cap is about a half inch in diameter, is very white, and had powder come off when touched. They later revealed a slightly brown dot in the center.
Spore print color:
Very important!

Bruising:
Brown

In the picture, you can see what looks like some Cubensis but I did not collect that one. The mushrooms in question are the white and black ones. My tour guide said they were magic but I really cannot find an ID on them so I am not sure.

Marasmius cf. androsaceus. There are many similar species.

So not psychedelic? Most sources I have seen say this grows in Europe or Canada. Are you sure?

Yes, it is a species similar to that. The cf. means compare it to that species. Perhaps an Aussie can be more specific. It isn't magic.
