Flow Hood Build Preplanning

I am wanting to build my first flow hood. I am wondering if I should start with a 24x30 or try to find something larger like a 24x48 filter? Any ideas on best size?
I do agar, spawn grain jars, and a fair amount of shiitake bags.
Then I'll need a good plan for the box, I've seen a few on here, and a blower to match the filter...
I am currently searching for "HEPA 99.99" with a 6 inch depth, I think that's a complete description of the type of filter I am after?

Get the 48" hood, you will very glad to have it the first time you do bags. Even for agar the extra space won't go wasted.
You also want to make sure the hood has sufficient enough resistance otherwise it will not create laminar flow.

That's the direction I was leaning toward. It would be nice to have 4 feet of work space. I am finding lots of 24x24x6" filters for ~100$ but I'm not finding many 24x48x6" filters in the 200-300$ range.

I'm using a 24x24, it works, I can do huge bags with it and I'm not planning to upgrade but damn would it be nice to have 48".

So 48 is more uncommon than I'd hoped but I'm finding 24x36x6. Any thoughts on something like this one?
I'm not sure that filter will have the solid block of laminar flow I'm after? It seems like the 6" depth hepa filters being used aren't specifically sold as laminar flow, but work fine?
Grower mentioned getting this one in a post a while back, I'd be interested to know how it has worked out over the long run?

I can't see any spec so it's hard to know, you wanna see a data sheet for anything you're thinking of buying really.

Looks good. I bought mine from them and it's 99.97% and working. They built it to spec and it was an absolute bargain. Doing it again I would spend a little bit more money for a 99.99%.
I suggest calling and asking how thick the filter material actually is. They say the frame is about 6" but not the filter. Also, I think the way most people are making boxes, a gasket on the downstream side isn't needed.

So more like this one then.
