Hi everybody, I'm new user in this forum I'm From Chile
I have some question about the casing and about the vermiculite use the first question is: Is necesary the casing and the vermiculite for this? (I know who we can use the peat and other inerts material for the casing, but my question is: is really necesary the casing?
I have colonizing a tupper with bulk prepared with horse dung pasteurized and BR 100% colonized in relation 40:60 (spawn:dung) in where live the vermiculite is so much costly, I have a fructifying for after with water and peroxyde and I use a aquarium heater the humidity is aprox 95% - 99% and the Tº is aprox 21º-25º C. the other question is in how much time I see pinhead with a PF Tek? (I have a mini pf tek in the fructifying with the parameters I say before. This PF Tek having 8 days in fruiting conditions and I not see pinheads is normal?
I wait for your answers beforehand, Thanks!!!
PS: Sorry for my english, but just I know a medium english language, Salutes From Chile!

I'm pretty high. I can help you, but ask a direct question so I don't have to read much.
Also I just want to kindly re,ind you about the search function. I think a lot of questions can be answered fairly easily through the search function at the top right of the shroomery. Your English isn't so good so it's a bit more understandable.

9 days or so is normal for PF tek.
Unfortunately vermiculite is a primary component of most casing layers, even being able to do the job by itself.

You shouldn't have to case unless you're in a really dry climate or growing a PE variety.

I'm not sure what your "fructifying" water and peroxide is for, but since you're talking about the pf tek I'm guessing you mean you plan on misting with these. Lose the peroxide. You should only use it for killing cobweb mold, which you likely won't get as long as you have a proper fruiting chamber with good FAE. Putting peroxide on the mycelium otherwise will weaken it and leave it susceptible to contamination.
Also, lose the heater. There's no need for a heater unless the temperature is below 15 Celsius (60 Fahrenheit). Your 21-25 Celsius is just fine for colonization (25 is a little higher than I like). If that heater drives the temperature up any higher you will be giving contams an upper hand over your mycelium.
Hi, I use the Peroxide for prevent cobweb mold, I add a bit of peroxide to the water just for that, how your say I use the water and peroxide for the misting and for increase the humidity in fruiting.
I have a PF TEK in fruiting separate from the water with peroxide, I use this technic because I don't have perlite for that, the heater is for the vaporized the water and so increase the humidity in the fruiting, is this ok?
my PF TEK have 10 days in fruiting condition and I can't see Pinheads still is this normal? (I think I'm a little anxious for see my mushrooms) the conditions are 95% 99% RH and 20º to 24.5º C with a BC 12/12
Thanks! for you help
and Thanks to all for the answers!!

You should be preventing molds by practicing good sterile technique and having clean spawn, not spraying stuff with peroxide.
