triping ground squirrels
    #23493790 - 07/30/16 08:54 PM (7 years, 5 months ago)

So it looks like ground squirrels like eating San Pedro. :mad2:

One of my cactus toppled over last month. I assumed it was rot even though I couldn't see any thing that actually looked like rot. Today I saw another one that seemed to be leaning over. I dug it up; which was easy since it still hadn't put out roots even though it's been in the ground for many month.

There's a tunnel next to the cactus so I assume a ground squirrel chewed a hole in my cactus.  Hopefully they're just looking for anything with water and don't like the taste.

A squirrel stole my only clump of lophophora williamsii about two years ago.  I still haven't replaced it.  :crankey:  Good luck with your rodent problem.

I haven't had any luck with traps so far since they never want to take any of the bait. I guess I know what to use for bait now. :cactus:

Normally my backyard is turned into Swiss cheese but they haven't been making as many holes this summer, maybe they're too high to bother.
