I used rye, then spawning it to manure/verm substrate. Don't know why, but colonization of rye jars took some long time ~ 3 weeks. but it's cool that temps after spawning are much more like pans.

How thick of a casing do you apply, my casing got absolutely demolished. I used closer to a 1/4" casing of jiffy mix. Not sure if I should re-case? Will they still fruit?

Same thickness, man. I have never fight with colonized casing, but in my opinion re-case is bad idea. For example Blue Helix had great results with fully colonized top - https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/8893238

That gives me some hope, its been about 6 days since casing, so I guess I'll have to wait and see

I recently did a Pan cy Jamaican grow comparing different substrates- With two of the subs the mycelia also colonized the case- but not to the degree that yours did- it finally did fruit but it took 11 days to get fruits vs only 4 days for the other two subs where the case never was colonized. With that degree of colonization of the case that you have I'd probably want to re-case, but I think GT40 has more experience with this than me so....
Regardless I'll follow along to see how it goes, best wishes!

Have 0 experience with overlays.) You have two trays.. so I probably apply casing to one and left another uncased. I think it's interesting and not prevent final results, but it may help to understand something about this herafter.
