Thoughts on this tattoo

I was thinking about getting some ink. Nothing too deep or symbolic, just something that I'd like. I've always been fond of stars, so I was thinking of getting this inked on my calf.

Before it goes permanent, I defer to the shroomery. Posting anonymous for unbiased feedback.

I don't think you should get any tattoo based on what someone else thinks.
Tattoos are lifelong commitments even more so than marriage. The only thing that matters is that you know what your doing and want to do it.

This is something you will one day regret IMO. Tats should be deep and meaningful to you. They're not a fashion accessory.

Noted. I appreciate the input.
Honestly, I think "regret" is too strong of a word. About 20 years ago I got a mid 90's tribal arm band tattoo. Sure, it's dated and I'd probably prefer something else, but I certainly don't regret it. At this point, I kinda just snicker at it and remind myself of when I was a kid.
I figured a basic star is something classic that wouldn't ever appear dated.

It's great, simplistic and classic, i myself would also consider giving the star a 3d look, google 3d tattoo, there's amazing stuff out there.

Thanks for the input. After the 90's tribal that I mentioned earlier, I was going for something a bit more "classic" that wouldn't go out of style.

Are you gonna get your current girlfriends named tattooed across your neck too? What about your postcode across your knuckles? Family name down the forearm? What about a diamond on the other calf? They'd all really go with a tattoo like this, and would look really cool.

Ya, unless you're getting it on your buttcheek so that your boyfriend has something cool to look at while he is pounding your ass I'm voting no on that tattoo.
Reason, besides being lame this tat has been done over and over. Be original and get a tat that half the world is not already rocking.
