video games suitable for tripping

Anyone play Journey? Its one of my life goals to play through this game while tripping. Its looks perfect for it. Heres the trailer if youre not familiar:
ABZU is another one that just came out. You can tell its created by some of the same people.
Also Headlander to a lesser extent. Probably a little too complicated for heavy tripping, but it looks funny, quite psychedelic. Suitable for a low dose lsd sesh perhaps.
If only I had a ps4
Other games?

The Elder Scrolls series is pretty good because you can just wander around in the cool looking towns and trip out and not have to worry about actually playing the game. Plus they have some very lovely architecture and friendly NPCs.
It's a very positive series of games to play while tripping.
I also frequently load up an oldschool FPS and open some custom multiplayer maps and just wander around. I'm sure it would work with just about any oldschool FPS that has multiplayer maps all the way back to Quake (Doom might be a little boring because you can't look up and down). I highly recommend it.
I've ridden out the tougher parts of many a trip just chilling in oldschool FPS maps

When me and my cousin took shrooms we played call of duty black ops II zombies and for some odd reason we were better than when we were sober.

I do deeply enjoy multiplayer FPS when tripping, but I always feel bad because there are time when I just zone out, get lazy, or get confused, and my team gets fucked as result.

Mega Man or Donkey Kong. I find current gen games like fallout or the elderscrolls too overwhelming to play tripping haha. Shovel Knight is awesome high too!

I lose games like that in about 10 seconds while tripping. Way too hard and requires way too much concentration and care for me while tripping. Like you have a limited number of lives and health in megaman and everything moves so fast, and there's an actual goal. I just can't do it man.
Unless I'm on a stimulant psychedelic like 2CE, or probably the whole 2C series in general. I could clean the floor with megaman on 2CE.

Bioshock Infinite was a trip.
We Happy Few looks crazy as shit though.

RPG's man, RPG's. Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time, the mirror fight where you fight against your shadow in the water temple ( it's either that or the shadow temple, can't really remember ). That was intense!!!
Also, I don't know so much about playing this while tripping, but I play Final Fantasy whilst stoned fairly often and it can be immensely rewarding. The story line is just so superb and it gets right to my heart. Not exactly 'light hearted' or just for fun, but definitely worthwhile.

Also check out Geometry Wars 2.
We were getting huge scores on acid when we were in high school. Like top 50 on the leaderboards. Basically cheating.

Lol. I use to be a halo nut but could not play while tripping for the same reason. Also the violence and loudness of it kind of got to me as I am a sensitive flower on mushrooms.

Hahaha I used to grind the oldschool games so it tuned into almost muscle memory and remembering the patterns like where to jump and what time and shit like that. It gets so intense tho, same with Contra. Any side scrolling game really.
Shiithead - Geometry wars is fucking awesome haha Havent played it tripping but i imagine it would be neat

If you can focus, you can get up there on the high scores. I suggest pacifism game mode. It's the one where you don't shoot.

Flower + Journey seem like amazing games to play either stoned or tripping
Maybe that game that's coming out on August 9th 'No Man's Sky'. I haven't seen too much gameplay of it but it's apparently a huge space world that you travel around through and it creates new worlds/spaces as you travel around.

I tried the OSVR for about a month before I returned it (was a developer-style kit that you had to spend a lot of time setting up for each game).
Shit was awesome even though I only played demos. I played the game "Sightline - The chair" while stoned. You basically sit in a chair and watch the world transform around you depending on where you look.
Shit was mind-blowing. VR is way more amazing than you imagine before you try it.

so a lot of you will be like "no way man I want something laid back" But when I was tripping on acid the two games I played were Unreal tournament (their free to play pre alpha) during the halloween event, it was weird figuring out that pumpkins were both health and explosive if you shot them. Was fun hitting players by sending rockets into pumpkin patches.
And elite dangerous. I did it to see if I can do space trucking in space whilst on acid in space. The answer is that yes, I can select a mission, leave a space station, go to hyperspace, then dock with a spinny space station without dying, crashing, getting interdicted and all that. But, when I docked I quit the game and decided to just watch space dandy instead because it was intense.

If NMS is going to be VR. I'm pretty sure it is.

Also, Super Mario 64 Sonic Games Rayman Legends Halo Geometry Wars 3
I think games are much more suited for the come down of a trip than the trip itself unless it's a low dose, but to each their own

Dang No Mans Sky looks awesome. I think I'm gonna just have to buy a ps4 and go in debt for a litle for the sake of my imagination. I just stumbled upon a terence mckenna youtube video a few minutes ago called Imagination is a portal, and there was at least 3 comments about how sick no mans sky on lsd is gonna be. Thats good enough confirmation for me!

OH, I totally forgot about these wild virtual reality play areas they got in development. Theyre just running basic bullshit like FPS's right now but can you imagine showing up to one of these facilities blasted off your nuts?! They even got horror movie themed ones in development. Id probably lose my shit halfway through and go cry in a corner somewhere.

Back when Journey first came out I dropped like 8 hits and fried the fuck out on it. So fucking worth it! This is and amazing experience because it's not a super long game, plus finding others along your journey is amazing tripping nuts.
Dragon Age Inquisition was an amazing game to look at tripping, would play again high as fuck.

Does anyone know about how one would go about doing this? You know, besides copping an original 8 bit nintendo and the game itself. Can't you play the old classics on new nintendo consoles now?

Old school is the way to go imo.
I tried to play skyrim once and was peacefully appreciating the beautiful mountain landscape when a cavebear came out and ripped my face off... I decided to "explore" the cities after that. And it genuinely felt like i was hiding behind city walls from the horrible evils of the outside world. Not unfun, just not exactly what Id like to do...
Mario, sonic, and awesome possum are my go to games

I wanna go back and play it all the way through for nostalgia purposes.
Does anyone know about how one would go about doing this? You know, besides copping an original 8 bit nintendo and the game itself. Can't you play the old classics on new nintendo consoles now?
The wii has the classics available. You can mod most modern consoles and add in a homebrew emulator to play NES and SNES games and shit too.

I find RPGs too much to think about when tripping but Earthbound fucking rules. I did play a consiterable amount of Chrono Trigger while tripping and was blazing through it haha. Doom when your twisted is fucking fun too

Same company that made journey also made flow and flower. Both cool games in a similar exploring style. Hohokum is really good too and beautiful.

Don't listen to these retro gaming noobs, get yourself a fine ass emulator (I recommend FCEUX or bizhawk), and download yourself a fine ass pack of NES roms. Preferably a nice NES rom collection torrent. All the NES games you want for free, and you can play them on your computer with any modern equipment you have (eg nice headphones, good USB controller, etc.). Plus emulators have save states, optional graphical enhancements, frameskip, slomo, and all sorts of other awesome features.
All the games you could ever want from your childhood are free and waiting for you, and all you have to do is to download the roms
I myself have what are called "full sets" (a collection of literally every piece of software ever released for a given system) for every system and computer released before 1990.

Weird. I saw that a new Metroid remake created by fans was being shut down by nintendo, started searching around about emulators for old nes games and found this recent thread. The original nes Metroid is my favorite so I had to find a way to play. I just posted to share a source of a game set I downloaded years ago that I've yet to use.

Geometry wars is rad as fuck. Shapes shooting shapes with shapes making more shapes from the explosion of shapes with sweet colors and cool repetitive music and heavy drops when shit gets intense, A+
