Habitat: Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
Gills: Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
Spore print color: Very important!
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Hello guys first ID request, I have done some searching through the pictures and threads just trying to find a match for these little buggers but I'm not familiar with the panaeolus species, I believe these to be pan cinctulus, or pan fimicola.????? Please assist!
They were found in central Florida just a few days ago, growing right out of some cowpies, I actually found some in the same pie as a p. Cube! they are tan to light brown colored, caps are very small about 1-2 inches wide, stem is brown to almost light red about 4 inches tall, no viable bruising, spore print black. I have another picture just having trouble uploading. Thank you guys!

The last pic, the large cap, looks like it could be a cube. No clue on the rest. A TI will be along to give a solid ID.

Pan papilionaceous maybe? Waiting for a TI...
The two in the picture with the cube compare to pan campalanatus.
Btw...thank-you for adding spore print color! That helps to narrow it down some

Yes they do look a panaeolus papilionaceus now that I've compared the pictures.

Yes sir. We get a lot of those where I'm from. Which is north of you some hundred-something miles, while we are supposed to have sporadic Copelandia growth I have never had the pleasure of finding any though my friends have. I've found thousand upon thousands of cubes though!

Ok so I went back out this evening and found these little guys! They look much more promising, working on a spore print now. Does anyone know the species of these?

There's a good chance they are Copelandia Cyanescens. They look to be bruising blue to me, wait for a black soore print and a T.I. to chime in

Most likely yes, you'd need microscopy to say for sure but they are definitely actives

So to get a definite ID I should be seeing blue bruising, that's good enough for me! Thank you DR and everyone else!!!! Now to enjoy

Anyone have any thoughts on these guys?
Substrate: cowpie Steam: white, no Vail Cap: white, Gills: dark grey No bruising I know it's hard to say without a spore print, but I was pretty sure they weren't active, so I'm just curious as to what they could be at this point thanks

Ok so another panaeolus species possibly?? They sure look to be bruising blue on the steams and the caps, but gills are whitish light yellow, about 3 inches tall growing from what I could tell was just enriched soil, under a large oak tree, cows were around. Any thoughts??

Those are either Entoloma or Inocybe, consider them toxic either way
