Songs that sum up this election * 2
    #23489184 - 07/29/16 12:30 PM (7 years, 5 months ago)

Here is my favorite:

Pink Floyd - Dogs of war

Quote:

Dogs of war and men of hate
With no cause, we don't discriminate
Discovery is to be disowned
Our currency is flesh and bone
Hell opened up and put on sale
Gather 'round and haggle

For hard cash, we will lie and deceive
Even our masters don't know the web we weave
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world, one world

Invisible transfers, long distance calls,
Hollow laughter in marble halls
Steps have been taken, a silent uproar
Has unleashed the dogs of war
You can't stop what has begun
Signed, sealed, they deliver oblivion
We all have a dark side, to say the least
And dealing in death is the nature of the beast

One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world, one world

--------------------
Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky

You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by

I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me

I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

Aerosmith - Same Old Song And Dance

--------------------
How to get started in bulk:
Presto 23-Quart Pressure Cooker
BOD's Simple as FUCK Still Air Box
PastyWhyte's Easy Agar Tek
Munchauzen's Cultivation Video Series
How EvilMushroom666 Prepares His Grains (I use jars with Synthetic Filter Discs)
What is G2G? (Grain-to-Grain)
Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary)
Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful)
Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

I sometimes assume things have become much worse over the years but in all honesty it probably is the same old BS we have been dealing with forever.

This song is pretty much about how twisted/ weird the world has become and has some great political lyrics:

Astra - The Weirding

Quote:

Careless speeds of light to nowhere
Pass so near no room to grow there
Multiplying moonstruck rabid zoo

No direction weavers waver
Asking darkness for a favor
Earthless black cat showing signs so true

All the blind sight dims the white light
Fire blood raven screams
Spreading influence through waking dreams

The world spins out of tune
And there's nothing we can do
To save her now

Blindly follow twisted tales
It seems forever without fail
Cat's paws mind their fairy stories dear

Leaders lead to cemeteries
Living through apothecaries
Hear the ringing
Swan song drawing near

All the blind sight kills the white light
Fire blood raven screams
Spreading influence through waking dreams

The world spins out of tune
And there's nothing we can do
To save her now

Take my place
In the human race
Lead me from here
The weirding of the wicked world

Electric eyes
Have you seen what lies
Lead me from here
The weirding of the wicked world

Some really tasty guitar too :awesomenod:

I feel like it seems worse because we've been going with it for so long and it's just been building up.

After it's done building up and it goes kablooey then I feel this song would be appropriate.

It works if you pretend the song is about one of the less shitty presidents we have had :tongue2:

PF - Welcome to the Machine

--------------------

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Psalm 12:6
The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Hebrews 11:3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Revelation 3:11
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
