How to keep a larger sgfc humid and moist enough ?

Hello fellow mycophiles :-)
as the title might suggest my question is about the humidty level and how to keep it up.
I have a rather large Sgfc with now 12 soon to be 16 cakes in it.
Its filled with about 12cm perlite wich was soaking wet when placed about a week ago.
since then i have been misting at least twice a day usually in the morning and evening.
But it seems that humidity isn´t maintained as well as in smaller sgfc´s should i mist more often like every 4 hours?
if i would pour water on the perlite i might just make a big mess since its going to drip out at the bottom runing the floor.
help would be appreciated
greetings ,

what makes you think it isnt humid enough? you dont need a super high, constant rH. the way the SGFC works, it can have as low as 50% rH, but thats normal. the cakes benefit from a fluctuating rH. the only place rH really even matters is on the cake's surface, which you cant measure anyways.

Build it 100% to specifications. Then don't worry about humidity at all

If you are only needing to mist twice a day to replace the glistening beads of moisture and the cakes aren't getting dry and bruising sounds like it's working fine, as said surface conditions is what matters most. Larger SGFC's cakes near the walls seem to get dry faster, group all the cakes around 2" apart centered in the middle and they will help each other maintain a good microclimate.
You don't have to maintain a certain humidity, just mist as needed not on a schedule.

Thanks for the quick answers!
the main reason i got concerened was that couldn´t observe as much condensation on the Lid and Walls as i am used to with smaller sgfc builds.
its build 100% according to the specifications of the Lets grow shrooms video.
I ´ll try keeping them more in the center of the sgfc.

Principles of SGFC
it states in there that a proper SGFC wont have moisture/condensation on the walls.
all you gotta worry about is keeping the cakes glistening with tiny beads of moisture.

A SGFC shouldn't have condensation. There should be little difference between the temp on the inside and outside of the tub.
