Laughing Gym ID Help

Found these growing on some dead rotting wood by a lake in northern Kentucky. After doing a little research I believe these may be the Gyms. I'm just looking for some help to see if I am correct. Thanx for any help.

I can't get the first picture to enlarge but spore print color seems ok Annulus on the stem?
Always wait for a TI's opinion

There is not an Annulus which throws me off a bit. Here are a few more pix. The print came out to a rusty looking orange. Sorry for the crappy pix. Only had my phone on me.

yeah I don't know man...in the 2nd picture one of the mushrooms stems looks to be "swollen" in the middle and in the description of Gyms it says often swelled in the middle narrowing towards base but the other mushroom in that picture that has the full view of the stem is basicall the same width all the way what do the specimens smell like?

Some of the longer stems came from the dead log and were growing straight up. The other thicker ones were on a dead tree, on the side, and the stems had more of a curve. A small piece of one I tried was very bitter but before I go ingesting an amount I'd like to be sure of what I have.

Also found on rotting wood by a river on a log that looks identical to the one in your picture. Do not eat if they are the same.

I'm guessing those aren't laughing gyms.

sounds like u got a handle on it. Yesterday I think someone posted some photos that looked very similar to gyms but were identified as omphalotus which is poisonous and has white to pale yellow spores but yours definitely look more rusty brownish orange than pale yellow. I also know that galerina autumnalis has a rusty brown print but is deadly poisonous

They look just like your pictures. As I picked some the bottom of the stems were attached so well sometimes a small piece of wood would come with it. Here are a few more pix of them after laying out for a night.

I had a thread on it last year and these were basically unidentifiable without send a spore print for microscopy. It was thought that maybe they could be gym liquiritae. Friend tried a few without telling us had horrid burning diarreah. Luckily that's all that happened to him.
