So this is my first try at growing my own mushrooms from spores, and to be honest i'm not sure if its mycelium or something else. Can anyone take a look at the picture and give me a opinion?

Definitely mycelium.

(Grain-to-Grain) Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

I don't know Kush... are you sure those aren't albino zombie fingers? I mean how could you REALLY know? Oh, wait... yeah I guess you would know.
On a separate note, Kush... do you have any albino zombie fingers for trade?

Damnit. I've been trying to get rabies from that racoon for months, but it's just not the same. (ok, now I'll stop)

Uh quick question. Why does it look like half colonized grains in a tinfoil tray with no casing? Were they at least 100% when you "spawned"

I have 4 trays, 3 of them are covered with vermiculite, 1 isn't. The 1 that isn't covered is in a different box than the other 3. I wanted to see if there would be any difference.

So that didn't really answer my question. Was it 100% colonized first? If not, grains need to be colonized in sterile conditions.
