I looked everywhere on the bag, and it says nothing about a fungicide but the other one did. It says it's treated with "mycoadvantage" which I read up on, and dosent seem to be a fungicide, more like a fungus helper. Bout to do some sclerotia. Anyone used this brand? Thanks guys

From what I've heard, you need to rinse it until all the green/blue or whatever coating comes off otherwise it'll get sticky inside the jars.
-------------------- How to get started in bulk: Presto 23-Quart Pressure Cooker BOD's Simple as FUCK Still Air Box PastyWhyte's Easy Agar Tek Munchauzen's Cultivation Video Series How EvilMushroom666 Prepares His Grains (I use jars with Synthetic Filter Discs) What is G2G? (Grain-to-Grain) Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

Go to a feed store and buy in bulk. That stuff looks sketchy to me and i definitely wouldn't use grain that has additives if i knew they were there

any time I've ever used RGS I bought the stuff that comes in a clear bag with no fancy labeling or anything.

Yes, I'm a newb, and I know this thread is four months old, but the reason I found it at all is because it applies to my current needs.
I've got a feeling we'll see more and more of this treatment. Pennington is a name that I've seen recommended for WBS and I've found in my local HD/Lowe's. And I've found the few replies given thus far seem incomplete. I don't mind looking like a newb if it helps somebody have success with their grow.
Myco Advantage (or spelled MycoAdvantage), according to what I've read, is a spore that the grass seed company deliberately adds to their product. It's purpose is to germinate, grow, and create an underground rhizome mat (much like mycelium) that acts as a conduit to help the grass roots gather more water and nutrients from the soil. Obviously, this would qualify as a contaminant.
Some companies may add mefenoxam (it has other commercial names), an anti-fungal used by farmers that probably kills more species than the couple dozen it's intended to destroy.
I don't know. I might be able to kill the first additive with a 24-hour soak to activate it and then a good sterilization to kill it. The second one appears to take one year to get flushed out of the soil, according to the charts.
Personally, I'm going to be much more diligent about reading the entire label, and avoiding both treatments. Period. I've learned that Home Depot and Lowe's both have free wi-fi around here, so there's no excuse to skip a quick Google search for anything I don't understand. Feed stores are hard to find in the city, but I'm willing to look a little harder now.
FWIW, grass seed is sold as a "fresh" product, and expires quickly. I'd check the date and avoid last year's batch.
