I learned that I wasn't going to die, that day. Close call, however. I learned don't eat like 3 ounces of shrooms all at once early in the morning, it's not a good idea. Those snakelike creatures that appear in an hour aren't fun.

I have learned that states of ecstasy are possible and very real. Also some idea of what good dying can be like.

I learned to love myself on one night tripping on 2C-T-7 in front of a mirror. It's almost the greatest lesson I have ever leaned..
-------------------- Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

can you describe it in more detail? Not sure if it was you, or even here at the shroomery, a while ago someone was talking about some amazing trip they had looking at themselves in a mirror.

I like this. I think the ego is directly controlled by the subconscious, and that the fundamental layer of the subconscious is an infinite consciousness, which is in a way a sort of higher power. It is definitely a higher dimension. And I feel that it goes higher than that.
Thank you everyone for all the amazing posts. I have gone back a couple times now to read over all the beautiful experiences and philosophies. I really feel it too. I have been wondering about the concept of dimensions again after the Hubble telescope recently proved to science how big the Universe really is. I wonder, what if once we make an irreversible life decision that we move into a new dimension. I wonder what ripple effects exist across dimensions if any at all. It makes me wonder about the reincarnation of ideas and spirits for sure.

Learned to respect myself and have discipline in certain things because feelings of guilt and sadness well up over powering if I don't, especially when tripping. For a long time I ruthlessly pursued a euphoria when I didn't deserve it.....

Snakes as metaphor are rainbowed..and reflections of your DNA..its an attempt to bridge the gap between your normal focus and consciousness.,.with the more sub layers of your being..and you will notice some LSD trips and such are about the idea of Pre wiring and encoding DNA to do what you want it too..indeed it is the beginning of a lodge about magic..

First thing I learned on a relatively low dose was that the way I talk and act is sort of a product of what my environment has led me to believe that it is something I should do. Another thing I learned from that same trip was why I had felt depressed a long time ago and why it is just silly to feel that way.
Other things I learned where: - There is no duality. There is only love. - The universe and me are still very young. We think we are so 'advanced', but we really have no clue. This was quite a humbling lesson.
-------------------- It doesn't matter whether you are christian, muslim, jew, atheist or ascribe to any other belief-system. It doesn't matter whether you look out to the stars, or under a microscope to the tiniest of particles. It doesn't even matter what kind of practice you perform to reach your goal. Because if you keep looking, everything eventually leads to the same truth, like a fractal that contains itself in every direction you take it. You will find yourself. I love you. Blatant self-advertisement.
