Is it okay to use sections of tyvek from priority mail envelopes that have ink on them for the filters on my jars?

i've got another quick question for you guys using the post office tyvek.... do you just make the normal 3/8" or so hole like you would for polyfill or do you have to make it larger? (just doesn't seem like the tyvek would breathe as well as polyfill to me)

I would think Tyvek isn't as 'passive' with air as PolyFil would be , IMO, I would make the hole pretty big.
