Light brown/tan (now orange) contamination?

Hello! This is my first post on this site, I'm very new, so forgive me if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it if it was. (Hopefully I can figure out how to upload pics too) . When using the pf tek, say there's 1 jar that has now been fully colonized for about 2 1/2 weeks. A light brown / tan clump started forming which was thought to be good, however it just grew more clumps and started turning light orange.. it was left alone and now a nice healthy mushroom is growing next to it. Should it be assumed that it could be safe to birth this ? Are there healthy molds that at least won't hinder growth of healthy edible mushrooms? Sorry for the novel! And thanks in advance.

That's no good, throw it out.

(Grain-to-Grain) Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

Well I did have some black mold growing underneath the mycelium on part of another cake, i cut it out and it fruited fine and none of it came back. I figured if it was pinning, and i could isolate the culprit since the myc was so strong it would be ok.

I mean, go for it if you really want dude. Got nothing to lose as long as you don't have it around another grow I guess
But to answer your question, yes, it is contaminated and I have no idea if that mold is safe or not but it's best to assume no if no one else chimes in.

I was wondering what the hell it was, I've seen other contams, I'm a noob so I'm asking a lot of questions..lol. I'll isolate it and have another experiment, thank you for the replies! Mycology is way too much fun.

Oh sorry, I misunderstood your question. I just saw "contamination?" after the end of the parenthesis so I thought you were asking if it was contaminated
Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Idk those yellow/orange dots have me wanting to say mycogone, but I've never seen it do that shit against the glass. A top view would have helped ID the contam. But it is a white mold similar to it if not mycogone IMO.
