Heat, water and forest green mold

How much does heat and excess water contribute to the development of forest green mold using PF tek? What is the idea temp you guys recommend for when the jars are colonizing? I noticed some of my jars seemed kind of dry and I added a SLIGHT bit more water because it seemed like the jars were stalling. I then got a lot of contaminated jars with forest green and some other colors too. I flame sterilize between all jars, use a glovebox/SAB etc. I was having more success before and not am getting a very high rate of contamination.

Low to mid 70s is best for colonization. So you injected unsterile water into the jars after they were prepared, sterilized, and inoculated? That's the problem there.

Green mold isn't caused by heat and water its caused by Green mold spores
It won't grow spontaneously. If it's in a jar you put it there accidentally

Follow the PF Tek recipe EXACTLY and you won't have a problem.
I'm sure you screwed yourself when you guessed they were dry. If you did follow the recipe and had them stored at room temperature they were not dry and you made an uneducated call that ruined your grow...
But what it seems you're wondering is if high temps and too much water causes contams. No. It doesnt. It just gives contams an easier environment to get a foot hold and to thrive.

No, I added a little bit extra water before sterilizing. I just noticed the jars seemed too moist after I found the contamination. I have never added anything once they are inoculated.

Thank you. I had some that didn't seem to ever show any growth at all and eventually the jars seemed dry. Then I got the idea to add a tiny bit more water...so much for that idea.
