Pinning in jars vs. in terrarium
    #2348143 - 02/17/04 11:12 PM (20 years, 1 month ago)

So my buddy's half pint jars are almost 100% colonized now and he was wondering what his next step should be.  He's heard of dropping the heat in the incubator and adding light to induce pinning while the cakes are still in the jars, but also been told that he can put the cakes directly in the terrarium and let them pin and fruit there.  What would you reccomend?  The quickest method would be preferred.  He is also considering casing a few of his 15 cakes to compare results.  Knowing nothing of cultivation myself I relay these questions to you.  Thanks for your input.
