I haven't done a spore print but I found them under spruce trees in a free range cow pasture. I am in interior BC, Canada right now and found them today on July 26th

I'm not sure what species youve got but if that was found in a cowfield it could be psilocybe cubensis. I'll say that if it is in fact a cube it's one very potent and healthy looking specimen. Wait for a TI to ID

Oh I don't think cubes grow that far north sorry. Gymnopilus species would be more likely.

I should have said the density of the mushroom can make for a potent specimen. At least in my years of experience with psilocybe and that thing looks fairly thick.

does it have gills or pores when you take off the cap? I think this may be a bolete.

I'm guessing if you break the stem open that it will turn a blood like colour if that's the same mushroom that Iv'e stumbled across on a few occasions.
