Question about substrate for Moe's Outdoor Tek

With the manure he mentions something about "If you can get the manure fresh...yaay." So...I'm guessing that dry horse poo will do just fine? Could I do Damion5050's coir tek, mix the horse poo in with that, and layer it with that substrate, some soaked hay, and spawn and water it down when needed and do just fine?
I have a lot of spawn, so should I just spread it around the patch like crazy with my layers? Like over 20 quart jars worth of spawn.
This strain came from Mexico and I'm in a hot/dry climate so I figured they'd do well (but make sure to water them still obviously).
How does outdoor growing compare to monotubs by the way? Would you say that outdoor growing has a higher success rate?
Thanks and sorry in advance, I know these questions are probably somewhere in the search engine but believe me when I say that I've been looking around a lot and got most of my questions answered before I finally broke down and asked these.

The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

You don't have to pasteurize outdoor subs. The strain type really doesn't change anything, so you will only see fruits when the conditions are right outdoors. Indoors you have full control over every element of cultivating and outdoors Mother Nature controls it all. So given those factors you will have more success indoors if you know what you're doing. For decent success outside its more about experience and not just throwing a bunch of stuff together in a pile.

So I could just mix dry coir/verm/horse poo together and layer that with soaked hay and spawn? I wouldn't have to wet the coir/verm/horse poo or anything first? just let the soaked hay and the watering down I do on top take care of it?

Thanks guys. I was wondering about how sterile coir was going to do outside, so I'm glad that was clarified. No bucket tek.

I don't have a ton of experience with this but I have tried 50/50 coir/verm and 45/45/10 composted manure/chopped straw/verm outside. Only the poo/straw/verm produced anything.

Yep the watering afterwards will take care of it all, but it's okay to soak the straw if you want. Nobody wants wet dookie on their hands when it's not necessary
