Good day forumer of the shroomery.org, I'm new to the forum and any information/help you posess is greatly appreciated :-). To begin with, i've been reading on a particular mushroom (Psilocybe subaeruginosa) that grows locally in my state, Canberra AUS. I began researching on other forum posts made by people hunting the same Psilocybe subaeruginosa. I learnt quite a bit i think, I began to proceed to my first pick and read it was best to start early end late, that i did. I found an area that grows many orange topped mushrooms that describe Psilocybe subaeruginosa. In the dark blue coloured plate are the ones i feel match the description, then in the light blue plate the ones i assume to be imposters. I'm quite unsure & haven't yet made a print to confirm but any knowledge/replies is greatly appreciated - Thanks in advance, Cheers. Tom

You are probably on the right track...i was tricked by this similar shroom when learning, but once you find subs the difference is chalk and cheese. In my limited experience, fresh subs will pretty much always show some kind of blue bruising, and the stipe or stem is firmer than the type you have picked. Also...its best to cut the shrooms rather than pluck them out for the on going health of the patch. Hopefully the season is still going in the ACT and you can find a few...otherwise next year get out there a few weeks earlier if possible
