Is it in the ps store? Or is there a disc version?

It's in the ps store for sure, not sure if there's a physical copy or not.

If you're willing to put time into it, yeah. It really is a more of a softcore sim than a game, at times. Right now I'm trying to get to the Mün (Kerbin's Moon), and for being one of the easier things to do in this game, it's quite hard. Planning trajectories, orbits, re-entry into atmosphere.. Damn. But it's fun for sure!
Plus, if you get it on PC, there are tons and tons of mods available.

I've played a little bit, maybe 8-10 hours. I haven't run into any serious problems yet, nothing game breaking. Staging is a little screwy when you reenter your pod after an EVA, but you can set it all back up so it's no biggie. Landed on Minmus and have a satellite in orbit around mun. The controls are fine, just takes some getting used to. There is a slight delay in input from the analog sticks when using RSC during EVA, I found it best to use only up down left right movements as the RCS does not work diagonally.
Edit. What sort of advanced maneuvers are difficult?

Ship building with a controller sounds like it would be difficult.

Yeah, it is a little tedious. I'm sure there's hot keys for things in the VAB but I haven't learned them yet.
My biggest problem so far besides corrupt save files is finding a damn flat spot on Mun to land.

Or the altitude meter not flatout lying when I try to land on the Mun. :p
"Yeah, sure, you have about 4km left before hitting the surface. No biggie. Yep, a whole 4000 meter, there for you to.. Hold on. No. I meant two. Two meter's more like it. Yeah."
SMASH.

this game is the tits!... so many hours on pc spent on it lol... I'll prolly be gettin this for sure for xbone, can't wait to see it on a nice big screen and not have to deal with lowered graphic settings
steep learning curve though... took me awhile to even learn how to get into orbit and back, then there's landing on other planets and getting back... still have trouble with that, can get to the mun easy for the most part, but gettin back is another story
so much fun learning though.. and failing miserably has never been this awesome!

Yeah, altitude is measured from sea level. Example, on kerbin, if you land in the water you will be at 0 altitude. If you land anywhere on land you will be higher than sea lever so your altitude will not read 0. On minmus, there are some flat spots which read at 0 altitude. Mun on the other hand, I don't think there are any places that will read 0 altitude.

Yep, I'm aware of it displaying your meters from sealevel.
I'm just really confused on how I should interpret that number when there is no sea, or any other body of water, to be found. How is it calculated then? And more importantly, how can I adjust my calculations to that number? When it's dark on the Mun, all I have to go by are instruments.. When those are off.. Well, I'm proper fucked.

You can always bring a light and turn it on as your approaching the surface. When you see the light, you know you're getting close and to slow down. Also, using shadows helps a little.
