The most important Thread you may ever read.

I'll cut to the chase, after briefly stating SWIM's credentials. SWIM has journeyed almost 700-800 times collectively over the last 10 years. 100-200 times with mushrooms, LSD 500+ times, and Ayahuasca (mostly in sacred ceremony circles, a handful of times, solo) 100+ times. Also DMT 100 inhaled, 100+ times. What I'm about to say is more important than anything SWIM has ever done.
Breathing techniques: the Wim Hof Method.
The basic technique is to do 30-40 deep inhales, and let them go, in decently rapid succession. You can speed it up, or you can do as many inhales as you like. After at least 30-40, exhale fully, and hold the exhale as long as you can. You may start at a 30 second exhale capacity, but eventually you will get to a 2-3 minute exhale capacity. Then, after the gasp reflect sets in, take a full inhale, hold for 10-15 seconds and then let it go. Rinse and repeat.
You can do this for as many cycles as you like, I like to do at least 5 cycles. That really "get's things flowing." You will experience energy rushes and revitalization unlike anything you have experienced before.
I will briefly say that part of the reason the exhales are held is that it raises CO2 levels in your body. This has a paradoxical effect of oxygenating your tissues more because the brain stem and release of oxygen by hemoglobin is triggered by CO2 levels, specifically high ones. So the higher the Co2 you have, then your brain triggers Oxygen release into your system. As long as you replenish yourself through breathing, you needn't worry about the temporarily increased Co2 levels.
The breath is life. It will take you farther than anything. You can combine your other journeying with this technique, just be ready for some doors to blow wide open. Here are some links to check out:

Much love everybody. Namaste.

Sounds like a good way to cause a psychedelic panic attack for a lot of people.

I will be doing this tonight, I'll give it a thorough and sincere attempt, and we will see if this thread is truly important.
Thanks for your first post HM.
Welcome.

clickbait , i've already done this and love wim hof, he seems like such a down to earth guy, i watched him on the joe rogan experience
and about the breathing technique, it seems like its a speedy way of meditating, but i sort of feel the same

FYI SWIM don't play here. But I used to do that in the back of social studies class in HS, way up near the rafters. It certainly improved the material IIRC.

I've found that after one 40-60 breath cycle I get a nice tingly warm body feeling... but after several cycles is when things start to become interesting. It honestly takes a lot of mental endurance for me to get there though. I should get back into this. Thanks for the reminder OP!

Mindfulness meditation is great, slows down the DMT experience to where it's less overwhelming.

So I just tried this with around 30-50 inhales per round with 6 rounds in total. I felt dizzy and lightheaded, but in a good way, and now my feet are very very warm.
Thanks for the tip, I enjoyed this, and will definitely try it out some more, and practice the cold is your warm friend as well with cold showers and such, nice info!

I do weird/cool breathing stuff similar to that by default if I take high shroom doses. Never by choice, just always do it sort of automatically when I'm in the deep flow of an intense trip. Always feels really good while in the peak.
