These stock are rootbound.

Does the stock being rootbound inhibit scion growth?
Havent noticed any negative effects but if i can get the scion growing bigger and badder i would definitley repot.

I'd think repotting would majorly help them out, might slow for a bit while the root system expands but then I bet it would really give it a boost! You probably know better than I do though man!

In my limited experience the root stock doesn't seem to put on as much root after grafting. At the very least it shouldn't hurt anything tho.

They might slow as the stocks expand into the new space but then they will start picking up the pace very nicely.
All of my biggest grafts are on my thickest stocks and in the biggest pots so it definitely makes a difference.

Thanks for the tips guys.
I sometimes have a hard time deciding what to do. Ive always done a giant repot on most grafts but wondered if there was some ill effect to not repotting.
Ill surely work on this tomorrow.
