Panaeolus cyanescens Pf Tek incubation question

Hi,
Just prepared and inoculate pan. cyanescens spores into Pf Tek Jars (cow manure/brf/verm)
Now it's time to incubation, i put them into my chamber..
may i take off the second foil? so it'll be only 1 foil left, that little syringe holes on it. Is it advantage for growing mycelium faster? And contam risks? (i put verm on top later into jar before sterilization)
Any advice? Thanks

Yeah, it's necessary to remove the second foil to provide some FAE to your myc. Don't smother them! I would suggest using some type of filter or micropore tape across those holes so that fresh air can still be exchanged without the heightened risk of contam. UTFSF and read a little on contamination, filters, etc. before continuing.

As long as you put a verm layer, and it isn't wet, you should be fine exposing the needle holes.
Are you going to attempt to fruit them as cakes, or case and fruit from the jar?
Also, you mentioned chamber...incubation chamber?

Yes i am using oldschool tek incubation chamber (for balancing warmth)
I put those verm top layer of jars but those jars staying this chamber since 4th day now. I think verm gets some wet. Do you think that's a problem?
Btw i will fruit them in case.

Stop incubating. It's too old school. If you can sit in your place without wearing a sweatshirt and coat then your jars will be fine. It's an outdated method and your jars will always be ~4 degrees warmer inside. They will sit fine on a shelf.

The cupboard sounds like the perfect spot for them. Just don't fuss with them too much or disturb the dry verm barrier. Observe them in a week and always be careful not to tilt them.

My first grow experience (cubensis) i do leave two foil closed till fully colonized. Yeah it worked well. I'm confused when i read everybody tells remove one foil keep and only one. If it's really necessary to remove it, how my first attempt success?

because you dry verm barrier needs to stay dry, with foil over the "lid" you trap moisture.

I never used "lid" ever before. I'm always using double foils. On my first grow experience, never take off any foil and all of them colonized fully without any contamination.
That's why I am wondering how everyone tells here to remove one foil, if this is necessary how is that success possible on my prior experiemces?

why do people always think that just because something worked for them, that it invalidates what was said? correlation does not imply causation.
space is telling you that it is recommended to take the foil off because when you dont, you can trap excess moister in the dry verm layer on top, which needs to stay dry. if that gets moist, it can get loads of bacteria/contam in it and fuck up your grow. plus, you want the jars to have some GE, which is gonna be harder with all that foil.
just because it didnt happen to you, doesnt meant that it wont ever happen to you next time, or anyone else for that matter.
the dry verm layer is your contam barrier/filter. most people use lids for pf tek, with 4 holes for inoc in the lids. then after inoc, they remove the foil. the foil's purpose was to keep water out of the jar during PC cycle.

Yeah but isn't he saying he doesn't use lids? I've got a couple pyrex beakers double foil needle holes and foil taped to beaker with micropore tape colonising fine no contams. If I've read it wrong and you have screw on lids with foil on top of lids then yeah get the foil off if no lid keep it on
