Substitute for pain meds?
    #23468324 - 07/23/16 04:56 AM (7 years, 6 months ago)

Hello there, a friend of mine has a chronic pain disease called fybromialgia. She's currently on 600mg Tramadol daily and some other bad stuff. What would be some worthwile substitutes to help with the pain? No need to mention kratom btw, she'll try that next week. Allthough that one's not entirely great cause it's addicting.

Hi,

Obviously cannabis.  Sativa strains in the day time, Indica strains in the evening. Recommend vaporizing.  Or edibles microcosm in daytime normal amount that is comforting in evening.

For kratom you must buy from a seller with lots of good reviews. A lot of crap out there  Most Use powder 1-2grams in water. Some use concentrates but very expensive.

Ashwagandha herb and mucuna herb (only buy whole mucuna) would help.  Raw cacao is a good way to start the day. Study ayurvedic medicine.

Also micro dosing psilocybin mushrooms might help put .1-.25grams in a capsule. Take a 2-3 times a day.

Meditation, exercise and healthy diet with raw grains and raw fruits and vegetables are obviously a must.

Depression kills many she's lucky to have you.
Pain management program May help her also, and necessary if life becomes unbearable.

Comfrey Leaf, also known as the "bone-knitter".

It's been used as a salve and tea (and I'm sure other ways as well) to help with pain ranging from helping mend broken bones, to helping with stomach problems, to helping with headcahes.

Beabuddhanow mentioned Ashwagandha which is one of my favorite herbs to make into a tea. I love the smell and taste it gives off.

PastyWhyte's Easy Agar Tek
Munchauzen's Cultivation Video Series
How EvilMushroom666 Prepares His Grains (I use jars with Synthetic Filter Discs)
What is G2G? (Grain-to-Grain)
Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary)
Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful)
Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

IDK, friend of mine, a beautiful girl 33 years old with  died last year with 2 kids from fibromialgia. They even did minor brain surgery 6 months earler. It did nothing for the pain. It probably killed her later from a blood clot. They had her on much stronger stuff, OxyContin or oxycocdone. Her pain was so great that a slight breeze could knock her down on the ground.

I sincerely hope your friends condition never gets this bad.

She shouldn't be taking any meds for that. That's not the correct course of treatment for fibromyalgia. Unfortunately outside of pediatrics this isn't commonly known though.

.

Those two were entirely surprising, as well as the comfy leaf mentioned by kush zombie I'll look into them  Idk about the micrososing of psychedelics though, isn't there the possibillity that it only further enhances the pain?

What do you think would be a good way to go about this?

Personally, I think she should stay away from pills in general. They tend to bring about other problems (including addiction) and only treat the symptoms and not the cause of the problem therefore making the cause worse in the long-run and requiring surgery that possibly could have been avoided.

Work on healing it naturally. I'd recommend cannabis for pain honestly. It's one of the best pain relievers and it will also help treat the problem as well.

I wish I could help more but that's about the only  bit of advice I have to offer; heal it naturally.

Best of luck to you and your friend.

No pain relievers should be used, including cannabis. That's not how this diagnoses is successfully treated.
