And you this how? No one knows how many people have been busted directly or indirectly using the shroomey, maybe the gov just tags you an that's all. Is it unfathomable to think the government is building a metadata base on every single person that is using the internet? I would say no, that is our new reality.

Unplug from the machine. Disconnect. If it makes you feel more secure.

No one has complained about it - the people who get busted know exactly why they were busted. No one is like....idk, feds just showed up.
I post pics of illegal mushrooms on the shroomery all the time and no one cares. Feds don't care. What are they going to do, show up at my door and take my 1.5 grams of some rare Psilocybe?
If I was on some kind of list, I would probably be searched by customs.....and they would be like omg, you have 300 bags of mushrooms and one of them is half a gram of Psilocybe, off to jail you go!
I am pretty sure that no one cares about mushrooms. Why would they? If you get pulled over driving drunk, sure, they'll get you with the mushrooms - but it's not something they look for.

Always keep your foes confused. If they are never certain who you are or what you want, they cannot know what you are like to do next. Sometimes the best way to baffle them is to make moves that have no purpose, or even seem to work against you. – Petyr Baelish

they have drones and satalites and facial recognition technologies. i think that anyone with a US drivers license could potentially be located anywhere in the world. The government knows that people would never agree to to have some implanted chip or personal locater/id thing so yeah.
and my suspicions may not be that far off or wacky. I googled some crap and as always the internet delivers exactly what you want to believe http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-switch/wp/2015/06/11/facial-recognition-technology-is-everywhere-it-may-not-be-legal/

You probably are on some sort of watch list given your work. The NSA puts people on watch lists for as little as visiting "Linux Journal" but nothing really comes of it except they gather data on you... but they gather data on every citizen...
all of the data collected (and there is a lot, they have tapped undersea communication cables) is fed through powerful algorythms like "xkeyscore" which searches for keywords and potentially more.

the fbi has had a difficult time recruiting people from the tech industry as many professional coders tend to like marijuana.

the tolls where i live have facial scanners after you pay and exit the tolls. however, any security camera hooked up to a network has the potential to be used
