I Need Help ASAP

Hey guys, about a month ago I had my first magic mushroom experience. I ate about an eighth but maybe more because it was ground up and mixed into chocolates so I'm unsure of the exact dosage. I was with 3 other close friends who were somewhat high from pot. I also smoked some and drank orange juice on the comeup (I know, I was stupid XD). I got really anxious and paranoid and had a generally horrible trip. I gagged, thought I was dying, blacked out for periods of time (I actually ran into the middle of a road but have no memory of it). The comedown was really sweet when all of the bad stuff and nausea passed. Except now, whenever I smoke pot, I get really anxious, especially on the comeup and I can no longer enjoy marijuana. I've since stopped smoking, but even when fully sober, I experience multiple anxiety and panic attacks, sometimes a few with in an hour. I have no idea what to do and it's left me a nervous wreck. Any help/tips/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also, I do not have a family history of any psychological diseases like schizophrenia.
-Thanks, J.

Prior to my first trip, I never got any anxiety from marijuana. I think my body just knows I'm about to enter an altered state of mind. It sucks though... I still have shrooms in my possession but I'm scarred from trying them again.

I wouldn't trip again if you're having residual panic attacks months later. Psychedelics aren't for everyone, and they can turn on those who loved them sometimes as well. Try to incorporate some meditation into your daily routine, exercise, consider supplementing with l-theanine. See how that goes. If the anxiety continues, you may need to seek some professional help to manage it.

Ok for a while after tripping you can get higher from weed than you did before and that's likely the issue. If you keep smoking and build tolerance it'll go away and not be an issue. Once you've tripped and gotten higher than you previously had been weed can seem a bit more dramatic and trip like for some. It will pass, but if you don't think you can handle weed anymore just quit smoking it. You can also switch to smoke pure Indicas, they absolutely don't give anxiety just couch lock and munchies. Good day sir

Thanks for the advice. If I choose not to smoke now, will I get that anxiety in the future since I won't have a tolerance anymore?

Ya an eighth is usually too much for a first timer. Most people act like it's a normal dose but they're all completely full of shit.
You should have taken no more than 2.5 and you definitely shouldn't have smoked weed on the come up but since you already did I provide you with this video that may have some advice for you.

solve that negative reaction to drugs by simply taking more
what i think you should do is smoke lots of weed or take another eigth and just go with the flow, let it take you where it wants to take you and become passive
your anxiety likely comes from the fear of taking off into the abyss that is your mind all anxiety has a root, but also be weary cus u may not be able to handle that state of mind, meditate on it and ask yourself, am i ready

Hahaha I've watched that video before! In fact, I watched in before tripping and thought that it only happened to a small percentage of users and that it wouldn't have an affect on me. Oops.

Oh haha ya no it's actually funny because the only thing that pissed me off about that video when I first saw it was how he acted like it was all rare or something and that only a "minority" of people experience this effect even though I'm pretty sure most people's weed highs change after using psychedelics XD

Same thing happened to me apparently with Ayahuasca. I think it has to do with an uncomfortable past experience, but with time it'll fade, and another experience, ime, does seem to help reset the mind and the anxiety might go away, but it needs to be a good experience, preferably one by yourself with music during the come up (music helps, so does focusing on your breath and do things that relax/calm you).
You can also try some Lemon Essential Oil, which ime, seems to counteract the anxiety, even for Cannabis. It actually goes pretty well with Cannabis apparently. I take anywhere from 5 to 10 drops, usually take about 6 drops but here the last few days i've been taking 10 drops. I just put the drops into a capsule and take it, gives me a little bit of heartburn but otherwise it's well tolerated.

I've been reading subjective claims on this subject for a little while now and it seems the way ayahuasca and mushrooms change your weed high is different from the way LSD tends to do it.
From what I've seen it seems LSD just makes people's weed highs 'trippier' and more psychedelic but ayahuasca and mushrooms seems to have the potential to actually change how someone mentally and emotionally reacts to cannabis and gives it more of an exotic anxious/leery twist. I haven't done ayahuasca yet but the people I know who have had experiences so intense with it that it changed their weed high long term have also described similar things to how mushrooms have changed my high. I think with an intense enough experience these natural tryptamine alkaloids can completely change cannabis and your perspective in a resetting kind of way.

Anxiety and panic can come from low blood sugar. When the blood sugar is low, the adrenals put out adrenaline in order to raise it back up. Adrenaline raises the blood suagar, but it also causes panic and anxiety.
Staying away from sugar and carbs can help to keep the blood sugar from going too low, along with eating protein, which gets broken down slowly and supplies a constant amount of sugar to the blood. (When you eat sugar, the sugar gets burned up immediately, leaving you with low blood sugar.) I would recommend getting into nutrition and reading up on it. If you're a vegetarian, I'd recommend the lacto/ovo (milk and eggs) type - but it's the best type of diet for meat eaters as well.
