Grifola Fondosa? or Hen of the woods? DO ME EAT?
    #23465356 - 07/22/16 09:21 AM (7 years, 6 months ago)

Found this at a friend's house in north Atlanta, Ga. in Fulton county. Not sure what kind of tree that is, but the area is covered in bamboo. The cluster is over a foot wide and about 8 inches tall.

Thanks in advance guys

cut and/or break a piece off and see if it's tender or not.  often with edible shelf fungi you can just harvest the tender parts and leave the tough inedible parts as they start to age a bit.
