(Pics) Myc growing into space between cake and glass

Guys your inputs on this will be very much appreciated. These BRF cakes are in the works for 3rd week now. The myc looks healthy with no visible signs of contams & smells neutral. However, it seems the myc is so fluffy and is growing into space between the BRF cake and inner glass wall. Is this normal ? Is there a reason to TOSS It ;-).
The reason might be that the BRF substrate is extremely loosely packed and as the myc grows the cake shrinks and creates a space between cake and inner wall. The myc is attempting fill the gap by growing into it. But thats just a theory and It would be great to hear your views.

Colonization is not complete. Estimated time 2 more days to complete the colonization. The bottom 10% or so substrate is not colonized at all.

Cause they're wet af on the bottom, and the bordered mycelium on the bottom is an indication of bacteria present. What was your recipe?
Also the big thick growths happening don't look good IMO. Hard to say what it could be until you birth them, but definitely nothing desirable. My guess is mycelial reaction to linear bacteria, but there's many other things that do that kinda shit.

Went through the post that you suggested. Its possible that FAE is the culprit. For the container were kept in a dark locked room with closed windows and doors. And this thing started happening into the second week. Changed the location to an appropriately aerated location. Let's see if that changes anything.

you dont need FAE during colonization.. you need to do a lot more research and try again, while following the tek to the "T". those look pretty fucked.

Bacteria and/or other contaminates. The barrier of resistance at the bottom is indicative of contamination, because the two cultures are fighting for supremacy.
I would birth it now, remove any uncolonized substrate by rinsing it off in a sink, dunk and roll, then fruit.

You mean the metabolites and the thick border where the mycelium is competing with bacteria? Yeah. If it was a mold it would look more granular/fuzzy. That is just typical thick af, rubbery bacterial mycelium putting out metabolites to try to fight it.

i think the pink/orange may mostly be because of the type of jar/glass plus the background and stuff around in the pic.
either way, they are bacterial.

Now I guess somebody on this thread owes me nice crisp bill of Dolla 20.
After further research and reading, it seems to me that the fluffy growth in between the glass and the cakes is "Storma".

just because you got fruits doesnt mean it wasnt bacterial/contaminated... so nobody owes you anything.

You do realize we recommended you to birth bacterial cakes because there's a chance it would fruit. Competent growers said to birth it for a reason.. All this proves is bacterial cakes can fruit...

That is DEFINITELY not stroma. Stroma looks like a pin blob, not thick cottony mycelium.
 < stroma.
