so i was thinking of ways make an income growing mushrooms and i have come up with a very interesting plan that i would like some more critisism about. i want to make basically a giant outside monotub probably inside of a cement hole and grow edible mushrooms to sell to resturants which will also leave behind beautiful soil i can grow my food in. i thought it was a master plan but i wonder how i might design this thing to work most efficiently. i have no experience with monotubing right now

Monotubs are meant for inside.
That's like asking how to do an outside grow inside of your house.
-------------------- How to get started in bulk: Presto 23-Quart Pressure Cooker BOD's Simple as FUCK Still Air Box PastyWhyte's Easy Agar Tek Munchauzen's Cultivation Video Series How EvilMushroom666 Prepares His Grains (I use jars with Synthetic Filter Discs) What is G2G? (Grain-to-Grain) Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

Yeah, a greenhouse with straw logs or sawdust blocks ect
Really this question cannot be answered properly.
What species u would be trying to grow would affect thr input one would provide with this question

Most gourmet and edibles require a LOT more FAE than cubes do. Been there tried monotub of portabellos for S&G's- epic fail. Portabello for instance requires live substrate as well, and shitake require solid waterlogged wood... The easiest edible to grow is oyster mushrooms, which will grow on almost anything, but needs LOTS of FAE to support it's aggressive growth. The species you intend to grow will help answer the question better, also this question is more suited to the general cultivation forum.

Regardless of the Master, the message is the same- Choose love and you shall live, Choose Fear and you shall die. Help bring peace to this Earth: Love one another, and serve others before yourself.

my biggest concern would be FAE in a closed hole in the ground. Youre gonna have to vent air in and out. For all that trouble you could just use a basement... which is a cement hole in the ground anyway.

Hey Paracel, I think you have the knowledge to build a good grow house like you had before, or are you more interested in outdoor growing? If your interested in any gourmet cultures let me know.

I am fabulous today, got up about 4 hours earlier than usual, enjoying coffee on the porch watching the chickens. As an city dweller right now I envy the solitary lifestyle you are leading down there, we would get along well, If I was in your area I would come help you work on the property. I spent my early 20's running around the south chasing music and musicians, mainly in N.C. but traveled a little bit to Georgia to visit the birth and death sites of some of my favorites. I hope to get out there soon again someday.

Most gourmet mushrooms require present root growth. Stuff like enoki is doable but like everyone else is saying- what cultivar you chose is dependent on how you grow it.
