Political Discussion about Johnson/Weld and Libertarians

I've been a fan of Libertarian values for a long time, maximize autonomy and freedom of choice, emphasizing political freedom, voluntary association, and the primacy of individual judgment. This is going to be an election with a Libertarian on the ballot finally! I think he will be labeled as Independent in Iowa. I know it's a long shot for him to be in the White House. But I'm glad I'll be able to vote for a Libertarian, rather than an Independent. For those of you who aren't familiar with Johnson/Weld, here is an ad for them.
1)Do you guys agree with Libertarian values?
A) If not, what do you disagree with, and why?
B) If you do agree with the values, what do you think this combo of politicians can accomplish in the White House with such a two party dominant system?
2)What do, or don't you like about this combo of people?

I have a lot to say about this topic but I'll keep it relatively simple for now
1) By "Libertarian values" I'll take to mean the values of the Libertarian Party of the United States, which I consider inimical to actual "libertarian" values as they have been understood over the course of history since the term has been coined. A) Quite a few notions, but principally the explicit support for capitalism and the equation of the "free market" with liberty generally.
2) Johnson seems likeable based on the handful of talkshow appearances I've witnessed. A bit goofy certainly but a good sport and would appeal to people who value honesty, or perceived honesty, in politicians (Sanders people, Trump people). Would have loved the guy when I was fourteen and bought the "socially liberal/fiscally conservative" and "most people are libertarians but they don't know it" lines that they've been spitting for at least that long.

Yes, it's in the context of the US Presidential race, I meant United States Libertarian Values. Sorry I wasn't more specific. Libertarians also have a very broad set of sects as well. i.e. Geolibertarians, Conservative Libertarians, Left-Libertarians, and more.
I disagree that the US Libertarian values are harmful compared to the original term, because the Libertarians are different from person to person. All forms of politics will vary from country to country and over time. Just like Swedish liberalism is different from the Liberalism in New Zealand. Or the liberalism of Lyndon Johnson in the past is different from Bernie Sanders version. I don't think generalizing a political party is fair based on the values you provided. You said you could talk more about it, and I would like that. Maybe I would understand your side better then.
It is my understanding that the support for capitalism and free markets with Libertarians are more so that anyone should be able to exchange their service for another. Not necessarily without any government control, but rather free from all types of economic privilege, monopolies, and artificial scarcities. In my opinion this could largely eliminate corporate dominance, leaving flatter alternatives like cooperatives and independent contracting in its place. I mean, I don't think that the federal or state governments should have the power over the market to set regulations of gas prices, and tobacco, among other things like people getting breaks for hiring government contractors. It takes control away from the people that have a service/product they wish sell/trade.
Johnson is a likeable person, but honesty isn't what I like about him. It's his record as Governor and as a business owner and activist. Weld cuts taxes and makes money, while helping with welfare. I'm really not to familiar with him and mostly just wanted to hear peoples opinions, but I got stoned and started rambling... sorry... lol
