Why are my monotubs full of aborts?

I recently got back into this hobby. I have made a few monotubs in the past with good results. As you can see from the pictures below the two recent monotubs I have made are not doing the best. I first saw pins in the two tubs over a week ago and it does not seem like they are getting bigger and the ones that have grown have not grown much.
I used a Costa Rican MS syringe from a trusted vendor(I've started doing agar since). I put some of the same syringe in some brf cakes and got a lot of fruits but they were surprisingly small(pic below). After the jars colonized I used Damiens 5050 tek for the coir/verm prep. I split the the coir/verm/spawn in half into 2 20 quart tubs. After about 8 days of colonizing I put the tub into fruiting conditions. Maybe 8 days later I saw pins.
Since I was worried about all the fruits aborting, I have started fanning/misting the tub. The bottom holes are stuffed tight with polyfill the top holes are stuffed a lot looser. The tubs look and smell fine but I am by no means an expert. So I do not think they are contaminated but I am a noob that probably couldn't tell if they were. Any help or insight on why my tubs are doing this would be greatly appreciated. I have 2 more tubs in fruiting phase and I do not want them to turn out the same way.
Thanks again for taking the time and effort into looking into and thinking about my problem. I really appreciate it!

Thanks for the quick response. So what everyone is saying so far is the tub does not look healthy. So the aborts are probably a reaction to bacteria in the substrate? So I'm thinking the spawn probably had the bacteria in it due to my sterile technique or the MS syringe. Here are some better pics of the substrate. I figure I'm just going to harvest what I got and try for a second flush.

One more question relating to this thread does anyone have a easy way to remove aborts? It is so tedious and takes forever!

That's what I thought too...but I really wasn't sure...just looks like regular pins though, right?

The veils are breaking on all the bigger ones. I think some might grow a little bigger but I'm 80% sure the majority of these are not going to get any bigger because they have not grown at all in the past week. So I'm just harvesting the one tub and I'm going to wait and see on the other. But I don't want to stray too much from the original question because that is what I really need answered. Thanks again for the input.

I fuckin love how suddenly you can spot all the bacterial infections.
Are you 100% sure it's not just from being mixed genetics from MS? But what if it smells okay? Must not have bacteria then right? Maybe he has a little bit of overlay?

Holes? Polyfill?
That's what I thought too. I have holes with polyfill in them and have been fanning several times a day because I know lack of fresh air is a trigger of aborts. Are the holes in my tub wrong or too small?

You need a fan in the room. But not pointing right at a monotub hole

How about completely loosening or removing the polyfill from the holes before even thinking about adding a fan? Take passive as far as it'll possibly go before you start looking into active solutions. Even then, you could start turning the lid a few degrees to allow for some air flow up there too if it was really so bad. There's no need for a fan, really.

Pull all that away from the wall and adjust poly as needed and you probably wont even need a fan unless it's a stale air environment. Keep checking for evaporation rings around the poly holes as well as how long your sub retains moisture.

Not enough fresh air, or the early stages of a trich infection will do this. You will know if it's the latter if your white mycilium starts dissapearing start getting a lot of yellow brown juice in the bottom of your tub. We all know what the next stage is... grandulated white followed by green. The shotgun tub looks pretty nice though.
