Horse Manure

Is there any difference between field aged horse nuggets, that RR reccomends, and regular already broken up soil looking manure?

Use the search button. Not trying to be rude, but this was asked yesterday and probably every day before that.

From the same thread you made yesterday

I've used the search button and didn't see any comparison, thank you
And 2, I asked a similar question the other day and got no answer, so what should I do?

It says right there I prefer powdered and before you prep the nuggets have to be shredded first anyways...

Well I've probably done the most poo out of anyone active in this forum besides maybe azur and cron. Been doing poo for 6 years now actually. You want the extremely light colored shit. Sometimes even white. Lots of the time it is powdered. Actually powdered gets dried out quicker than the nuggets so it makes more sense to aim for it more.

Its good to have correct feedback. When I go through and I see a question has been correctly answered by a competent cultivator like Madseason, I typically just move on.
Your question is so basic that it really doesn't warrant more than a single correct response.

I have a friend with horses I get the shit that's fairly dried then lay out a tarp water it down and let it sit for a week or two in the desert sun if you can't get field aged if that's what your problem is

That's what I do too. I go out and shovel the top of the piles that are sun bleached into a truck bed and spread it on a tarp. It's annoying af to pick through them lol. This is small compared to what I've been doing lately because it was in the spring (you can even see the snow ). Same premise.

Pretty much. Leeching is kinda pointless IMO tho. Just dry the stuff that's obviously visibly old. Old shit is pretty obvious. It's like light colored and flaky. New poo is often green and well fresh lol. Flies love it.

I was originally looking into coco coir but I read that horse manure is the preferred substrate

If you cant find poo just get coir, it's a great substrate, easy to prepare, in my experience I get way more flushes with coir than with poo also, I don't know if anyone else experiences that around here though.

Coir is pretty much exactly the same yield, and it's much more noob friendly.
