Wispy mycelium or cobweb on coir monotub?

Hey fellow cultivators i spawned this tub about a week ago and i noticed some strange growth a maybe 2 days ago it kinda looks like cobweb mold to me but after opening and looking it doesn't look that much like it and has gotten whiter over the last 2 days. Here's the picture

Pic could be better but I think I do see some strange growth all over that thing. Maybe take a better picture without the huge shadow in the middle of it?
If what I'm seeing is correct, mycelium shouldn't be that thin, even totally tomentose mycelium. Keep an eye on it, you will know soon enough if it's a contam.
Cobweb grows incredibly fast btw, I doubt that it would be the culprit if you have a contam.
Cobweb:

It would do that to a cake in a couple of days.
Edit:
Also, if you ever do get cobweb, it is normally a sign that you have a serious lack of FAE, or so I heard.

maybe jsut throw a lil layer of casing over those spots, let the rest of the sub reach the top of the casing, idk tho, once i am corrected i learn, but hey i could be right.

So everyone thinks it looks quite normal?
The tub hasn't really progressed since then and seems a bit dried out since opening it for pictures...

It could very well be covered in a white mold. If that's the case don't mist it, but normally... when a substrate gets dry, misting is what we generally do.

So mist if its looking dry?? I see what's for sure growing rhizomorphic mycelium but it just seems to have slowed compared to how fast it was growing is this due to me opening it to snap a picture??

If opening it one time is enough to dry it out then it was never moist to begin with.

I have no idea. But it won't hurt to try to fruit it.

Why introduce it to fruiting conditions? Its been what, 10 days, and it obviously isn't stalled. Just wait it out and change nothing.
BTW, I learn best when I vomit misinformation then wait for a TC to verbally slap me silly.

It's not like fruiting early is gonna cause anything bad to happen anyway. You can fruit whenever you want. It's all preference, not misinformation.

My last comment was just for a laugh, referencing something that was said on page 1.
I thought colonizing conditions is what you want for colonizing sub. Because it colonizes faster in the trapped co2. Am i actually wrong in thinking that? I couldnt imagine it would 'hurt' it to fruit it. I just don't see why it was advised.

No, actually if you put in fruiting conditions right away, you will shave off a couple days on average till harvest. When you have a suspicious sub, giving it FAE will speed up mold sporulation so you will know sooner if you have any. Molds hate FAE, they will sporulate in it's presence. Also, some contams, like pin molds are more likely to grow in a high CO2, low oxygen environment.

Good point. I even knew that already, just didn't cross my mind.

Ok just want to confirm. It is okay to introduce at this point fruiting conditions? Just want to maybe get a second opinion maybe first.

Take a look at this. A lot of folks case and fruit at spawning, that's what you're gonna end up doing anyway so might as well get it over with.
