My first BRF jar!
    #23451666 - 07/18/16 12:55 AM (7 years, 7 months ago)

Hey, this is my first post here after lurking for quite a while :P

This is my first attempt at a BRF jar. 3 days ago I inoculated it with the vietnam Cubensis spore syringe i got recently and mycelium is already expanding across the surface.

Super excited for the potential of this one!

Is it just me or does that jar look soggy at the bottom half?

Might give you some bacterial problems then but as long as it doesn't stall, it should give you a flush or two.

Update: The jar is still colonizing at a nice pace.
However, the other size of the jar is almost completely uncolonized.
Is there any reason why growth on this side of the jar is so much slower?

JAr looks wet. Probably bacteria. Can't see the growth real good in the pics though. Try to get familiar on site with how bacterial mycelium looks. Bubbly and thick mycelium is one of the most common signs of bacteria. Another is having rhizo growth that seems clumped.
