Sterilized grain storage
    #23456815 - 07/19/16 04:57 PM (7 years, 6 months ago)

I seen alot of different responses while searching so figured I'd just see what everyone else does.. Just sterilized about 6 quarts of rye.. Won't be able to attend to them until about 24-26hrs from now. Once sterilized I plan on shutting off the stove and leaving sealed in PC until after the 24-26hrs. Do you guys run into this and do just so? Will they be okay? Never let them sit like that for so long. Just nervous.thanks!

Alright sounds good.. I'm actually really nervous about doing this. First time everything was not done in day.

Endospores won't start to recover for around 2 weeks. Its best to use them immediately, but I would personally use grain jars up to a week old.
