Why not stick to LI for now? You can basically get it done in around the same time, without the risk of endospore bacteria being present in your master. Blenderless LI uses the same method of inoculation you would for a g2g anyway.
Just a thought, it's up to you to see which you like best obviously.
I don't g2g jars for indoor growing for that reason. Seemingly perfectly healthy masters end up growing stressed with bacteria in my recieving jars. I stick to wedges mostly because I inoculate with somewhat of a routine. Having something going at all times makes you forget about the jars you have that have yet to colonize.

Finally some plates that I believe are perfectly clean. (Please correct me if anyone sees anything bad)
Kinda fucked up and funny to think that in the 6 months I have been growing I don't think I have ever had perfectly clean spawn.

Mm good suggestion. I guess I just had it in my head that g2g is a staple of bulk cultivation I gotta get down. But yeah, I'd probably have better luck with an Li at this point. I'll try doing that next instead!!

First tub of the year (I know, been slacking), this was from an 8 month old spawn jar out the fridge. I gave the jar a shake, they recolonized the grains within days, it looked dead before the shake. Decided I would spawn it to some old CVG in a tub for experiment. I am also not a fan of wasted materials.
Been colonizing for 4 days so far. The CVG I used also sat for 8 month in a jar with foil on them @ room temp, had some molds living in it I believe. I PC'd the CVG for 90 mins and gave the spawn a good dunking. Spawned overly wet with dunk water for lost moisture over the months.
Seem to be going well. Should throw out a few nasty shlongs by the look of it. I'm going to case it with 8 month old 50/50 peat/verm which you see in the second pic, looks and smells great after 8 months, likley because the pH was buffered. I will mist some more calcium hydroxide water on it when I apply to prevent mold.

Just shows you how strong this organism can be. Cubes are beast.

luke,
What I see in your jars are grains that are too wet. When my grains are too wet I can see them pressed up against the glass. The mycelia can't colonize all the way around the kernels. Jars that are too wet become bacterial breeding grounds.
I rinse the hell out of my simmered and soaked grains. rinse, rinse, rinse. (the starchy rinse water goes onto my banana trees and they love it). Then, I dry the hell out of my prep'd grain. dry, dry, dry. My grains are in a nylon, 5 gallon paint strainer sitting on a folded towel. Gravity carries excess water downward into the towel which blots it up. The whole grain bag thing is sitting on an overturned bucket outside in the sun and wind. like this
 except on a towel

I rinse like a mad man to get rid the grain of excess starchiness and then dry dry dry before loading and PCing. Then I G2G.
Rinsed and dried grain has a much better chance of becoming clean spawn.
Good luck to you.

Gotta love oats, just boil them, strain them and load them while steaming hot and still wet. Perfect grains every time, my moisture goes away in less than 24 hours after PCing.

Uncle Rico thanks so much for your reply!!
Just so you know how I've been doing it: I have been rinsing it very well before and after the soak, then bring to boil for 10 min or so then strain, shake well in strainer and spread put onto a towel covering a table to steam. I spread the berries around more to redistribute them every 5-10 min for 45min-1hr then they seem completely cool and I load them up.
However, if they are still too wet at this point and that's why I keep getting bacteria I will definitely let them dry longer!! Ill pick up one of those bags if I can find one and start drying em outside as well. Thank you sir! (BTW I wish I could have banana trees, that sounds amazing!)

Wow neat! I'm probably going to have to try those out now I actually recently picked up a big bag of WBS to try out as well!

WBS is a bit more tricky than large grains. I've heard that rye can be prepped like oats if that is what you are using. I prep them drier than normal in order to do what I described above. You know how dry grain looks white on the inside while hydrated grain looks gray? I cook it until I only have a couple of white spots where the grain is thickest.
Like this

Not entirely visible but you should be able to spot the dry spots. After my grains get to that, I strain them for a couple of minutes until they stop dripping and load them up in jars. The extra moisture on the outside of the grain will be soaked up by the slightly dehydrated grain. They look bone dry on the outside after 24 hours. I think oats have a thicker hull than rye though, might just be a little more forgiving.
I've just started messing with black oats as well, they look pretty cool

Ah okay! Perhaps I am also overcooking my rye. I didn't know to look for those spots, I just boiled it like 10 min and made sure they looked properly plump.

I use whole oats now, and as Dr. Haze states, they are dead simple.
What I do: Put the oats straight from the bag and into a 5 gallon bucket. Pour boiling water over the oats plus 2" or so. Stir. Cover and let sit over night. The oats will be swollen having soaked up most of the water. The remaining water will be dark and funky ... and requires serious rinsing. The oats have soaked overnight and the 'bacterial endospores' will be softened and are ready to be killed by the 250 F degree PC run. Pour the rinsed oats into the strainer bag and rinse again. Dry in the strainer bag. I PC for 75 mins.
note: I can't rinse the oats initially because many of them float and it becomes a rinsing / cleaning disaster. They first get the hot soak. Then they are waterlogged and sink in the rinse water and are easy to clean up. Everything has cooled which is why I can't do the 'steam dry' thing.
My tek is cobbled together from a bunch of teks over the years starting with doc's WBS, a rye tek, and what I have gained from experience over a number of years.

I meant that for my method, which is to leave the grains wet during jarring. If you are drying your grains completely on the outside, you should hydrate them fully.
Now that you've started with your method, you should try mastering it before switching. Unless of course you think there is something easier, then by all means, try it. Just try not to confuse yourself with all the variations for now until you get the hang of it.
How long are you PCing for? And what kind of inoculant are you using?
