I'm surprised that not many people were interested in my picture dump. It makes me wonder whether it's worth the time to post all the other pics.

spaceman101 said: Ok guys I guess I'll take a little time to post up some pics I've taken recently. I have 116 uploaded so this will be a few day event
Here are some Pawpaws I've been waiting to ripen as well as a strange seemingly mathematically perfect pawpaw sucker!
Black swallowtails hovering around an orange butterfly weed. I watched a documentary yesterday that said these butterflies are STRONGLY attracted to the color orange. At 1 point there were 9 on this one plant and my ENTIRE yard looked like a Butterfly refuge with all different varieties flying all around and even landing on my aunt and I back and forth.
Here are a few incarnata Passion Flowers before harvest and the last 2 pics shows the difference from 1 plant I have that produces TINY flowers compared to the others which are nearly twice the size
Turbinicarpus with Flower buds developing. The buds will open up tomorrow so I'll snap another pic when they do.
I love this plant as well as LSoares I believe but I just though the trapped little water sucking butterfly just added to it's beauty
This is actually a variegated Lopho Willie the was a pup I grafted from one of my completely yellow grafts in the past. I labeled strange normal pup on Full Yellow Lopho. It double flowered recently and I took pics but it's not in this set of pics so I'll get that one up as soon as I can
Lopho and Turbinicarpus grafts still growing very well it seems!
I JUST LOVE the way this Pilocereus pup looks so I thought I'd share it here.
Tricho seedlings with what may possibly be a variegate growing in the center.
I just loved how these pics turned out.
5 ribbed bridge I got from Kactus a while back with 5 pups. The 5 pups slowed growth way too much so I cut most off and have them rooting on their own now.
A couple Trichos (1 being a graft) I took pics of for some reason.
Pineapple in it's second year. I'm really hoping for a fruit in it's 3rd year
Remember this special lil thing Kactus Bro?
I have TONS AND FUCKING TONS of these butterflies in my yard right now and I love how they look especially the silvery specks under their wings. The sad thing is they DESTROY my Passion Flowers with their spikey larva
This 4 ribbed Tricho seedling is about 1 year old atm but I REALLY need to repot them all for greater growth. I think that was in one of my nitro cross pots which is REALLY interesting! Actually both the pots you can se all clearly in the pic are my nitro crosses. I'll sow more seed here soon
A few of my Lophos that have been flowering and fruiting. Mostly_Harmless pay attention to the last 2 pics here and I'll explain in a PM what I mean.
And Finally a couple more random Lopho Willies
I think this is all I have time for now so I'll stop here and continue in the next day or 2. I hope you guys enjoy em all

Very nice! Some good looking plants pal
I picked up a couple Mammillaria from the dollar rack at lowes the other day and re potted them, damaged one slightly getting the hot glue off of it the other two Trichocereus grandiflorus that were there when I bought mine months ago are still there and all rotted from being over watered.

I organized, somewhat, my backyard. Got a plastic pallet from work and put my plants on top. Seems like an easier way to control pests too.

Now you see the plant at the very bottom? Thats my Mitragyna hirsuta. I repotted it today and almost instantly the leaves started to droop. And there that one goes. Its only a matter of time. Ive lost all my seedlings to transplamts. That was my biggest one and i dont know why that is happening.

Oh Shit Ferrel
You talkin about those little seedlings at the very bottom or the small plant to the right? I'm guessing it's the larger plant. I'm soo sorry Bro but from the pic I can't see it crying out.
Have you looked into the differences in growing conditions and manipulated them in any way?
I just got back home a little while ago so I'll get that mutated Lopho flower up by morning time because I have to drop file size and all before uploading and I gotta take care of the animals atm. I do promise to get her up for you because I know you'll love it

Plants with large leaves are best transplanted when resting and/or without leaves, with their leaves cut off and into damp substrate, kept that way for a week or two. Even better: take the whole root ball undisturbed and put it into the new container.
This warrants some explanation, so bear with me.
Plants do not have "active" pumping systems. Water comes up from the roots because the stomata (the open "windows" on the plant's leaf epidermis) are open and the plant looses water that way. The water loss at the leaves creates a "negative" pressure there that in turn pulls water from the branches, up the stem, from the roots. If there is no water to pull, the pressure at the leaves will drop further down until the conducting vessels collapse, much in the same way that a straw "flattens" if you suck hard on it and block the open end at the same time. Collapsed xylem (the vessel system responsible for delivering water from the roots to the plant's leaves) will not recover and the plant will die.
When you transplant a large leaved plant, its vessels may collapse literally in minutes once taken out of the ground. Your plant may have been damaged beyond recovery by the moment you put it in the new pot. That is the reason that fruit bearing trees are sold and transplanted bare leaved and softwood species like pines, etc., are sold and transplanted in containers that never leave the roots exposed: because the do not shed leaves, they don't have a resting period when you can transplant them.
Sorry for the long rant.

Dont be sorry. Thats good.
It did get better today. Ive never dealt with this species and this one cwrtainly is my biggest. Speciosa on the other hand grows fast and never had those problems. I rwally like the plant and most just dont like it basically cause you need more than with speciosa. This is the type of plant where wxtracts should be made, not to be used whole leaf like speciosa.
