Hello,
I'm almost certain that this is an Edible Bolete, possible king or queen, I'm not 100% sure. I've never found any in upstate NY, I've picked tons of them in northern California and they look very similar. I'd really appreciate anyone who can help with certainty.
Thanks:)

The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

I've heard them called King or Queen Boletus before, not sure if thats the correct name though. I don't know about here in NY, only in California.

I second that. That's how my Mushrooms and Fungi class teacher referred to them in California.

That's cool. I was just asking out of genuine curiosity, it just sounded fascinating.
