Anyone Still Using Micropore Tape for Monotubs? How?

Are any people still using micropore for monos?
If so:
What are the dimensions of your mono?
(I'm using the common 66 Qt.)
What is your hole size?
How many holes?
Are you layering the tape at all?
(I used to put one piece outside and one inside so no stickiness was exposed.)
What is your typical ambient humidity?
Do you end up misting much?
The last time I made monotubs I tried micropore tape. I did OK but I suspect that my FAE may have suffered. If this was the problem, surely it can be corrected by increasing the surface area. Micropore is uber-convenient if it works for the application and not very expensive in bulk.
This time I am using polyester eco-fleece but it is far less convenient to apply.

Pastywhyte uses micropore on his mini mono, maybe he will chime in. I am interested in more details as well. I want to stray away from polyfil in the holes. Maybe try the search function and see if you can find any info from him talking about it.
If I were to guess from my own knowledge, you kind of have to dial them in by eye anyway, everyone will have different results depending on many variables.
Keep in mind the FC does not have to be filtered air of any sort, substrates are contam resistant at this point. In my understanding, to increase FAE with micropore you would only tape up half or 75% of an intake hole, to let more air in.

Absolutely, there are so may variables, but other people's experience could offer a good place to start!
I'm making several tubs, all the same (except genetics), and I have some rolls of micropore on hand. Maybe I'll slap some on a couple to see what happens.

pasty said this in his clone thread yesterday

Pastywhyte said: It's micropore tape. I have found a single layer of micropore tape allows for as much air exchange as a loosely stuffed hole. A double layer is about the same as a tight stuffed hole. It takes 2 strips to cover a 1.25" hole, so if I need to up the FAE I simply remove a strip from the upper portion of the bottom holes or move the top hole strips down a bit to expose some of the top hole.
It's a bit different than poly bit I have be experimenting with it a bit. Poly is kinda messy IMO so I have been trying to get away from it for a while now.
