first PFC grow, is the black stuff on top the caps spores, if so, how?

Sorry if these come out too big.

basically it started normal (bottom pic), and the neighbor seems fine, but, even the biggest highest up cap has become dark like this, i touched it just to check and it seems to be spores, as far as i can tell, how did they get all there? is this like some sort of mutation that puts gill genes on the cap? or is there a draft in my fruiting chamber? or was it perhaps just timing or some such?

Or is this just something else entirely like a natural skin?

Those are spores. They are ejected and the currents in the chamber carry them up and over the very fruits that produced them. Happens all the time.
