I know everyone says ahh cobweb cobweb, cobweb, but I'm pretty sure this is. The jars with this don't have a mushrooms smell. But a very strange dry dirt death kind of smell. Not like ass. But a very off scent.

Looks like mycelium I've had a few jars that grew mycelium into the moisture barrier like that . Cobweb is grey and whispy looking and by the looks of it you have good long mycelium extensions . If you think it is cobwebs a mixture of peroxide and water will help fight it .other then that I think it looks healthy and since you said you smelled it your options are to toss it or spawn it . I personally would see if I could get something of of it. If it was a cont. You would def. Know and good way to learn and watch out for next time .

I buried three or four with this last night.
You really think that's mycelium?

Cobweb is myc. All molds have mycelium. But what you have there is not cobweb. Dactyllium is very rare these days thanks to improvements in fruiting methods, and to have it before the first flush is almost not possible IME.

Yep I would have fruited them. Live and learn. I suggest in the future that you take care with your research. There are great threads that are still active that discuss things like this. Cobweb for instance is so rare that I myself have only ever seen it IRL once. That was over the course of 100's of grows. But every new person out there reads ancient threads about it and is convinced that they have it.
It hurts losing those cakes but you can take comfort in the fact that at least you did most of it right and have now learned that cobweb is not really a concern 99.99% of the time.
