shrooms stop growing

hi everybody, this is my first growing. B+, casing trays in bigger container. The first pins appeared very randomly 1 week after initial casing. When they started to grow I included indirect watering (spraying) of the trays twice a day ( in addition to container's walls misting which I started since the initial casing), FAE 15 -30 min twice a day, light 12/12.At the moment I have a few big shrooms, that seems continue growing and many small shrooms and pins that seems stop growing as well as their caps are drying and deforming as you see on the pictures (are they aborts?).Since today's morning I stopped watering the casing however still continue misting walls of the container. The reason for this probably drops of water damaged the caps of small shrooms while do not affect big matured shrooms. And it's complicated to water separately big shrooms only.No signs of contamination as I see. Should I pick up the small shrooms that stopped growing? If yes, may I eat them fresh or it's better to dry them first? Or probably the best way is to harvest all shrooms and prepare casing for new growing? Any suggestion? Thank you [image]http://www.shroomery.org/forums/thumbs/16-28/867503728-thumb_20160716_142053.jpg[/image]

They look like aborts to me, I would pick them and yes you can eat them fresh, more potent when done so.

yes I do, using sterile stick to initiate pinning. Actually I do not see contamination. also I do not think that additional watering will help them

Ok then! Shrooms don't want water, I will remember that.
Don't know where you got any of your info, but it's all wrong. Go through some grow logs of some successful grower and ask yourself if you see them doing any "scraping to initiate pinning" makes no sense
plus, no water? seriously? I can't even begin to conquer this one.

What dude? A sterile stick? The hell did you read about doing that? As you can see because all of your mushrooms are growing from the edges, that didn't do shit.
What they need is water. But they might be too far gone.

It's not enough. You must be growing in open air or something You need to pour about a quart worth of water into the tub that it's sitting in and let it absorb it for a couple hours.
Those bitches are dry. That's all there is to it

And apparently fae 15-30 seconds twice a day. Fae should be constant..
Yeah the surface isn't glistening, so until it's visibly glistening with no pooling water, it needs misting

I use a lawn mower to initiate pinning. Works like a charm.

I see that the tube is dry, however will not be the shrooms damaged after being in water for 2 hours? Probably, first I should harvest all shrooms (including pins?) before pouring water.

Don't dunk it completely under water. Just pour a bunch of water down the side of the sub, it will never even reach the shrooms themselves. If after a couple of hours the water isn't absorbed completely, pour it out.
Edit:
And for the love of everything that is holy, don't scratch your subs. That will do nothing but damage the mycelium.

Why would you harvest your pins? Those are your baby mushrooms. I need you to do some better reading before you come in here with all these bad questions.

My mouth turned to a desert looking at those. Can we see the chamber you have your casing trays in? I have a feeling that may be a big chunk of the problem. That shellac look the myc has developed is a response to a tough environment, and probably lots of bacteria too.
what did you spawn? Are these crumbled cakes by any chance?
Mad Season lines Monotubs with trays and they work very well for him.
