I'm unsure if you shroomery people are aware of this, but Salvia Divinorum plants grow very well outside here in Pennsylvania. I wanted to share these back on June 2 when these pictures were first taken but i couldn't remember how to upload a picture till now. The only secret to growing Salvia outside is Lots of water and miracle grow, and NO!! direct sunlight. Tomorrow i will take new pictures to show everybody how well they are doing one and a half months later.

I think it's like poppy in regards to it being legal as long as you don't process it.

nice job! . Salvia is very sensitive to sunlight like you mentioned and humidity but it can learn to grow in more harsh environments fi it is being introduced gradually. I have a few plants myself, recently moved them indoors. I live in Cali, it seems there is a bug or something in my garden that loves to trip at night ... :P anyway they eat so much that sometimes my plants get stunned and stop growing. I couldn't find the bug responsible so yeah I moved my plants inside and they're doing much better. Flowering is rare but not unheard of to induce in a controlled environment where it get at least 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness. a 12/12 cycle seems to be ideal. anyway to have it set viable seeds now that's pretty rare it seems.

I wish i could give cuttings to all you people who want one i would do that for free, but if any of you were cops, i would be going to jail. Plus the Shroomery specifically warns against it.
For all you who are wondering I bought my first plant 5 years ago over the internet from Amsterdam it cost me 40 dollars. Now i can clone as many as i want, they clone really easy.

If salvia is legal where you live and where you are shipping it is not illegal or against the rules here.
There is a whole thread about trading on this site.
Atleast from my exp.

Nice plants.
PA sometimes has harsh winters. What do you do with your salvia plants in the frozen months? Are they perennial?

Looking good. They will do fine with morning filtered sun, moist soil and a good layer of mulch such as wood chips, straw and leaves. Keeping the roots cool is a must in summer because they only have shallow roots. I'd be mulching that bare soil you have there. I feed using worm castings tea and fish emulsion. I've had Salvia grow outdoors for 10+ years and survive summers of 40C and winters down to -7C. The greenery dies off in the frosts but come spring they sprout back up from the root stocks. I don't get snows. All up definitely perennial and will soil layer and spread. Easy plant to grow.

I've seen it mentioned in the ethno-garden that they can come back, given that the root system is "seasoned". Pun intended.

Erowid says :
Florida # Effective July 1, 2008, Salvia divinorum and salvinorin A have been added to Florida's list of Schedule I controlled substances, making them illegal to possess, buy, or sell. The law exempts from control any drug product containing Salvia divinorum or salvinorin A that has been approved by the FDA.
wiki says :
Although salvia is not regulated under the Controlled Substances Act, some American states, including Alabama, Delaware, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Texas and others, have passed their own laws.[18][141][142] Several other states have proposed legislation against salvia, including Alaska, California, Florida, Iowa, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. Many of these proposals have not made it into law, with motions having failed, stalled or otherwise died, for example at committee review stages.
I believe Erowid tho. Every single website I have ever searched when looking for a live plant claims refusal to ship to Florida.
https://erowid.org/plants/salvia/salvia_law.shtml https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvia_divinorum#US_legality
here's the bill if any one is interested.. in FL law..
http://flhouse.gov/Sections/Documents/loaddoc.aspx?FileName=_h1363er.xml&DocumentType=Bill&BillNumber=1363&Session=2008
So Fuck the DEA, fuck the FDA and fuck the prohibitionist bastards in the United States government. Have a good day.

I tried growing a few of those guys once and they all got taken out by some kind of mold. Maybe I'll give it another try soon. It looks like yours are doing pretty well in that shady spot. Do you take cuttings from them and keep them inside during the winter? I'm pretty sure the cold kills them from what I read. They're normal growth climate is somewhere in mexico if I remember correctly. Maybe you could get-by with little greenhouse-like setup through the winter if you do a good job with it?

Thanks for the info, Starter & 1234go. I have a spot in my yard that is shaded for all but the first hour or so of the day, only growing weeds now (and a very healthy bittersweet nightshade that I'm contemplating taking out because of my son). I may try salvia divinorum back there, I think that'd be pretty cool.
Hope you get around to posting the updated pix, OP.

same here, started with one plant a few years ago ... very very easy to clone. if you have one plant you can basically end up with more salvia than you'll ever need ... I'm so happy is still legal here in California.
