Orange stuff on the bottom of substrate
    #23444142 - 07/15/16 02:31 PM (7 years, 6 months ago)

Hello guys.

I've noticed some orange stuff at the bottom of the substrate after harvesting mushrooms. There was a little bit of orange hint before I started fruiting and then it got a lot bigger. Bacterial contamination? Metabolites?

The mushrooms, even though big and I had a nice harvest, were surprisingly weak. I've never had them to be so weak and I'm not sure whether it's because of poor genetics. I ended up eating 60 grams of fresh mushrooms, after a day of harvesting (properly stored), on an empty stomach, and I've only felt like I was on a level 1 trip. So I decided to make a tea out of the rest of the mushrooms (140g fresh) - then it worked, but it was still a very mild trip, 2-2.5 grams dried at most. Really? 200 grams of fresh mushrooms for a trip like that?
