Are these P. Cubensis?

Hi everyone. First time poster, long time reader. I was recently up in Utah at about 11,000' where I found these growing out of cow manure in a wide-open meadow. I've eaten homegrown shrooms many, many times and these look identical. The only thing is, I haven't seen any blue bruising, otherwise they fit the description to a tee.

What makes you say that? The climate was favorable. It's been raining for about a week and when I got to them it'd not rained for about five days. The temps don't get above 80° or below 50°. Also they look like P. Cubensis. I've also been reading on this form that not all of them bruise blue especially when found in pasture,

This is exactly what mine had looked like when I picked them. Same kind of setting.

I say that because they aren't cubes. Nice stock photo though, beautiful view.

Yeah... I'm hoping for an elaboration, if they aren't cubes what are they? They smell like cubes, they dry like cubes, the caps are gold and the stems look like cubes. I just haven't seen the familiar bruising but have read wild ones won't always bruise blue/green. You aren't helping much.

You may be right, thanks. Since I live in New Mexico, I may just order some spore prints and cultivate.

As already said, it's an inactive Panaeolus sp. Psilocybe cubensis doesn't grow in Utah. Outdoors, at least...

But I don't see any veils like this
