hey ive got a munchkin baby bottle sterilizer n i was wondering if it would be a good enough way to sterilize jars of verm/brf before introducing spores to substrate
i have a little knowledge from some projects i did in my younger days but i must reiterate the term little... i was more of an assistant lol
any feedback wioll be of use thank you all in advance -Doobie

No that won't work. The internal temps of the jars with brf/verm will not reach sterilization temps as they would with a pressure cooker.

The pf trek does not require a pc. Just use a big pot. You can find some really cheap at Ross.

I assume they are fairly low power compared to a stove top.
Less steam will mean it takes longer for the core of your jars to get up to temp, you may have to adjust your times quite a bit.

Hey mad, did you make that agar art? Pretty cool! I've been wanting to make a black biohazard symbol on red agar. Never works though

Nope didn't make it myself. Clicking the pics takes you to the articles they came from.
Pf tek doesn't need to be PCd that is correct. But steamed in a baby bottle sterilizer isn't the same as boiling in a pot for 90 minutes. I'd bet the bottle sterilizer would work great at pasteurizing small amounts though. Kinda like those steam pasteurizer teks you can find by old cultivators like agar.

Yea man you need solid and steady temps whether boiled or pc'd. As others said, it's a lot cheaper to buy a big pot of you don't have one around already.
